• Haruun Kal, a planet that seems flat-out determined to kill people, whether it's through toxic, corrosive volcanic gases, about ten million different plants and animals, all extremely hostile, or such gems as fever wasps that sting you, implanting their larvae in your spine, which then cause dementia and death as they hatch. The people are even worse. And all of it's vividly described. Even Mace couldn't stand it.
  • And if you're Force-sensitive, it's even worse, since you can feel all of the pain, desperation, etc. No wonder all of Mace's people are badass Determinators.
