Despite seeming to be mostly a joke AU, Ribbit can be extremely terrifying at times.- Most MOTHERSPAWNS have bizarre, abstract, or downright unsettling designs. When you first encounter BEWARE AWHOO, an unrecognizable root-like creature, even Noyno is startled by its appearance.
- However, as for creepy ghost designs, WORRYSOME stands out the most, being a dismembered girl figure impaled on a red pole.
- When you encounter Susie in the first area, you'd expect her to join you like in the original Deltarune, but when you blow up the fungus she was hiding in, she frickin' kills you, with a fleshy sound effect. You then respawn and join her like nothing happened, but it's still pretty startling.
- Later in the Vapor Woods, immediately after Lancer reveals Noyno's secrets, Susie turns back and hacks you to death with her axe for no apparent reason. You then learn that she's been making fun of you.
- BAD END (pictured above) is perhaps one of the creepiest fanmade Deltarune bosses so far. It resembles Gaster, but with one zombie-like eye and a large scythe. Even worse are its attacks. BAD END can attack only a single party member at a time, but while he attacks, you can't move. He will unavoidably cut the bullet board and your soul in half, instantly killing a party member. The only way to beat him is to repeatedly heal your party members.
- And that's not even counting the buildup to its fight. A group of Motherspawns offer to kill YOU, Susie, and Noyno. While you're negotiating with them, Noyno keeps interrupting to beg YOU to tell them what they're doing, and Susie argues over which of them should be the first. She eventually gets her wish and gets to be killed first. It fails and instead grants her the ability to use the Healer spell. The group of Motherspawns then merge to form BAD END, and attack.
- Everything about the final boss MANOS-1966:
- It’s appearance is utterly uncanny: MANOS is a red face with hands. It’s not pleasant.
- MANOS getting rid of both of Noyno and Susie leaving just YOU and your wishes left.
- The ending. Noyno becomes king and MANOS is defeated so happy ending right? Nope as the unknown voice tells YOU to kill Susie and while we don’t see anything, we do hear a fight break out.
