"Old MacDonald had a farm...E-I-E-I-O...and on that farm he had a sickle...E-I-E-I-O..."

The game is a survival horror that's a love letter to the Clock Tower series. This really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Unmarked spoilers below!

     Tormented Fathers
  • Richard Felton at the start comes off as a reasonable if suspicious old man, Then the game actually starts and you have to hide from him, now clad in only a gardening apron and wielding a hand scythe and rambling like a crazed old man after seeing him talk and lick the decomposing corpse of his dead wife, whom he murdered.
  • The Red Nun. This disturbed woman garbed in a very unsettling set of nun robes and habit, stalks the house soon after and even terrifies Dr Felton and the Attic Girl whom cower and disappear when she approaches, spewing religious rantings in a quick, raspy voice, while threatening you with what appears to be some kind of spinal cord-like spear.
    • And the identity of the mysterious Red Nun? It's Gloria. Her seemingly kind disposition and willingness to tend for Richard Felton's needs is revealed to be an act, as she is really a former Red Nun filled with hatred and murderous intent against the Feltons and Rosemary Reed for the experiments and accidental deaths of her sisters of the 'Cristo Morente' covenant. She manipulates Richard's behaviour via mesmerism sessions into committing atrocities against his family, taking advantage of his broken personas, tortures him by cutting off his tongue, and then brainwashes him into killing Rosemary, all in the name of vengeance.
  • The Attic Girl is liable to give the player a heart attack during her first appearance, where she pretends to be among the many mannequins stored in the attic. After Rosemary touches one of her possessions, she suddenly screams bloody murder and starts chasing Rosemary down with the full intent to bash her skull with a nail hammer. It's also implied that she's the Brainwashed and Crazy Celeste. It becomes far more unsettling when you figure out she's actually Richard Felton, or to be more precise, the original persona of a young girl who was abused and forced into becoming a man by her equally sick father. The sheer differences in Richard/Jennifer's voices, along with the disturbing little girl "hops" she takes makes everything about her rival the Nun in creepiness.
  • Rosemary finding out the true identity of Jennifer/Richard as she stumbles inside the Wine Cellar, and immediately realizing that Jennifer/Richard is in the same room with her.
  • Finding Celeste's Room, which was originally sealed off in secret. It is where Celeste and her mother was being held prisoner by Richard Felton and the Red Nun, though Celeste was only able to escape before she would be killed by her father when he broke in to kill 'Jennifer' under the Red Nun's command. After finding Celeste's recording and listening to her plead her mother to escape, the corpse of Mrs. Felton suddenly rises from the bed and attacks Rosemary.
  • The final stalker is Gloria Ashmann, who forgoes her disguise as the Red Nun and goes straight after Rosemary in the attic with the intent on finishing the job. Her eyes are bleeding from the sockets due to a dangerous reaction to the Cortisone drug, and her rage makes her more persistent than ever, to the point where she willingly gouges out her eyeballs to be rid of her Cortisone allergy affecting her eyes, and rely on sound alone to hunt down Rosemary one last time.
  • The many ways Rosemary can die is also quite brutal:
    • Being grabbed by a stalker without a defense item equipped will result in an instant death. Special mention goes to Rosemary being struck on the face with Richard's gardening sickle, which the game shows in gleeful detail.
    • Failing to throw a diversion item at Gloria in time will result in Rosemary's eyes being gouged by her assailant's thumbs.
    • Many deaths by failing a Press X to Not Die prompt are also quite gruesome. Special mentions goes to Gloria bashing Rosemary's head against the elevator's scissor gates and Rosemary being burned alive by Richard/Jennifer while bound onto a chair.

     Broken Porcelain
  • The new stalker, Porcelain, is a giant man clad in a dirtied robe and a porcelain doll mask, whistling an eerie tune as he stalks the halls of the Ashmann Inn. He is also armed with the very same ceremonial spear the Red Nun had used in Tormented Fathers.
  • Thought being stalked by a crazy old man or the fanatical Red Nun while exploring the Felton Villa was stressful in Tormented Fathers? How about the entire staff members of the Ashmann Inn? That's right. You're now being pursued by more than one stalker this time around.
  • Recent trailers shows that the Red Nun is back. Only this time she is equipped with a flamethrower, content to burn poor fifteen year-old Jennifer alive with it.
  • Porcelain, a serial killer who resides within the walls and the bowels of the Ashmann Inn, is terrifying. When he isn't whistling his creepy tune, he's completely silent. Which means he can very easily sneak up on an unsuspecting player. A standout moment is when Jennifer is trapped in his lair and Porcelain can be heard whispering "I can see you...I can hear you..." on repeat. What makes this so terrifying is that you don't know where he is, yet he sounds right next to you the whole time, and could very easily materialize from anywhere in the vicinity.
