• Blackwatch’s Sociopathic Soldier tendencies are often played for dark comedy or are at least too cartoonishly evil to take seriously, but sometimes it’s played completely straight and the results are actually frightening. Probably the peak is a black box recording where they confront a child with a speech disorder. His mother pleads for his life, but they can’t be certain that his awkward silence isn’t a sign of infection so after several attempts to get him to speak they gun him down while she screams in horror.
  • In the first game Blackwatch is stated to gun down civilians with glee but you don't get many details, and in the sequel their ruthlessness is exaggerated to the point of silliness. But the soldier here actually hits what the writers had been aiming at - he's a professional with pure ice in his veins, and he's possibly right.
