- Pretty much every character that appears in this show, is prone to-often violent-MoodSlings that can be pretty unnerving to viewers if caught off guard.
- Special note goes to Celestia's reaction to Sofia asking why she isn't a... Q word. Complete with glowing red eyes.
- Pinkie Pie can be surprisingly creepy.
- Freddy Kruger manages to be genuinely terrifying in his attempts to kill Applebloom.
- Luan's Evil Laugh in "The Loud Family Meets" is very unsettling.
- A psychotic Tails doll tears off Angel Bunny's TAIL before going on a vicious rampage that nearly kills Sonic, Sal, Dinky, and Apple Bloom!
- The Diamond Dogs murder Spike in a fit of rage* . The blue flash in Rarity's eyes when she takes vengeance on the three sons of bitches is also prime Nightmare Fuel, as is what she does to them.
