Nightmare Fuel / Mr. Stain on Junk Alley

Go To

The things that happen to Mr. Stain, Palvan, and everyone else in this show are usually horrible and numerous.

Let's list them, shall we?

  • Some of the character's models look pretty grotesque, for instance, Palvan's teeth are always showing, and his pupils can slit and glow in the dark.
  • One of the pictures associated with the cartoon is Palvan getting attacked by a bunch of Pylons (blue hermit crabs with traffic cones for shells) They are clinging absolutely EVERYWHERE.
  • The first episode has a fish named Eaten that tries to eat Stain after it is hatched from the egg he found in the garbage.
  • Palvan's eyes getting erased in the Magic Crayon episode, turning his face into a black hole. And when Stain tries filling in the face, it leaves the eye sockets still empty. So he tries filling them with tomatoes. Palvan's response, take one of Stain's eyes.
  • Episode 13, where Stain tries to take care of a Baby he found in the trash who eventually dies because she/he choked on the milk Stain was feeding her. Her soul flies out of Baby's mouth in the form of a ghostly Soul butterfly (which crawls out of her/his mouth), with Stain desperately running after it.
  • The policeman, smashing the babies' Soul, and then brutalizing Stain for stealing milk and then shooting him (but thankfully only grazing his arm) when he runs away.
  • The storm from "Harmonica", the first time we see it, a live action skull flashes on-screen for a split-second before lighting tries to hit Stain, the second time it appears the skull is seen more clearly firing lightning at Handsome Stain.
  • The first time Stain imagines jumping over the lighting from the storm that is traveling up the wire he's walking over. It reaches Lifa's apartment, and makes it explode, killing her. The scene makes the viewer believe this actually happened by giving no indicator that it was Stain imagining the whole thing, which makes it both a relief and another moment of horrible-ness when he decides to be struck instead.
  • The Heavenly Bird episode, in which Stain makes friends with the titular bird, then after it dies due to being unable to survive in the relatively cold Junk Alley, shows Stain butcher, cook, and eat the bird while crying.
