As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

  • The Entratainment in itself is this. A piece of media so absolutely entrancing that you will simply watch it again and again forgoing stuff like eating, or going to the bathroom, until you die. Even if someone manages to rescue you, you'll spend the rest of your days trying to watch it again.
    • Doubles as a Tear Jerker once you realize that it was made by James with no ill intent, but instead in an attempt to communicate with Hal who he feels is withdrawing from the world.
  • James Incandenza cooking himself alive (well, his head at least) with a rigged microwave.
  • Orin and the cockroaches. Especially when he gets kidnapped by Luria, put in a glass dome and has them dumped over him.
    • Especially noteworthy that not only is he being interrogated about something he really has no clue about, but the glass dome is almost soundproof.
  • Marathe's wife. We never see her in person, but we do know that she basically lacks the upper part of her cranium and when she lays down spinal fluid drips from her nose.
  • Faxter's fate, at least what we know of it. He is given an anti-narcotic to make sure he is awake and can feel his eyelids being sewn open and having something dripped into his eyes.
  • Gately being stuck in a hospital, incapable of communicating with others and afraid they'll give him narcotics but at the same time in horrible pain.
  • What we know of Joelle's life, doubling as [[Squick Squick]]. Apparently his father fell in love with her the more she grew up and the only way he could somewhat manage to cope was by gradually addressing her as a child, culminating in him pre-chewing her food and spitting it out on her plate.
    • Although it may be a Nightmare Fuel Retardant that the love is - according to her father - non sexual, but it may also not be true, since apparently Joelle's parents havent had sex since Joelle had her first period. Either way it is an incredibly sick and disturbing relationship.
    • Also, her mother, after trying to disfigure herself with acid and instead hitting Joelle ([[Unreliable Narrator maybe), was never formally accused. She killed herself by placing her arms in a food blender; notably not both at the same time.
  • The psychosis that took Steeply's father and led him to compulsively watch M*A*S*H*. It got to the point he started writing letters to the characters (not the actors that played them) and tried to find an eschatological message into the series. What starts as a little pasttime or way to decompress devolves into a full blown mania.
