- Any of the videos featuring Black Comedy can be this, depending on how sensitive you are to what's being shown.
- "Boos Meet a Real Ghost
" has Kevin, who can change his head into a large worm-like shape with teeth fit for a shark. Oh, and the background is flooded with blood.- There's also his absolutely demented backstory, where his wife, after finding out he was cheating on her, drugged him, chopped off his hands and feet, dragged him to the middle of a forest, chained him to a tree, and watched as wolves mauled him to death, laughing all the while.
Kevin: Each heartbeat became a cruel reminder of my infidelity. Now I am doomed to roam the Earth until I complete my UNFINISHED BUSINESS!- Another subtle example in this video. After Kevin explains his backstory he asks how the Boos died. One Boo states that he died because he lost his inhaler - in other words, he had an asthma attack and suffocated to death. Even worse is that it comes off as an example of Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick (The first two were "I slipped in the shower" and "I ate before I went swimming"), which implies that the writers/scriptwriters were unaware that losing your inhaler and suffocating to death would be a horrid way to die.
- A good example of this takes place in the "Telltale Games' Super Mario Bros". A certain moment has Luigi staring, horrified, into a pit where Yoshi fell after Mario sacrificed him in order to ensure that he and Luigi would be able to move forward. Luigi quietly asks Mario why he let Yoshi die. Mario calmly approaches him, and suddenly slaps him, yelling "Don't you ever question me again!". As Mario walks off. Luigi stands still, eyes wide open, as text across the top of the screen simply states, "Luigi will remember this".
- This can be a hard-hitter for anyone who's been abused by their family or friends.
- Some "Sonic the Hedgehog"-themed videos constitute:
- "Tails Can't Die" has a take on Tails' apparent Resurrective Immortality in many Sonic games. The ending has Tails 100 years later among headstones for all his friends, lamenting the fact that he's outlived all his loved ones. He tries to commit harakiri, but promptly resurrects to his horror.
- "Sonic, Lord of the Rats" involves Sonic and Tails coming across what looks like a normal capsule. After opening it, Tails is swept away by a wave of rats (his stripped-to-the-bone corpse appears shortly afterwards, though his dying yell is heard off-screen), and then it's revealed that hundreds of thousands of rats were in the capsule. Having been due for extermination at the hands of Robotnik, their king proceeds to instruct his brethren to head out into civilization and "spread the message of freedom given to us by noble Sonic". All the while, the city in the background can be seen and heard descending into chaos. Sonic attempts to persuade them into going back in the capsule, but fails in doing so. The rats' king then abruptly proceeds to bite him, infecting the hedgehog with the bubonic plague and leaving no one to stop them.
- The short but most certainly not sweet "Sonic Frees the Forest Animals", in which the titular hedgehog is viciously mauled by a grizzly bear, and then decapitated for good measure.
- "Tails Can't Die"
- Several of the Super Mario Bros.-related videos are disturbing enough to qualify:
- The video "Mario Goes Down the Wrong Pipe" has him in a realistic sewer pipe where he lampshades the smell (saying it smells like "a pile of dead Goombas"), has the skeleton of a Koopa Troopa indiscriminately dumped on him (which makes him vomit) and is eventually attacked by a group of homeless Toads living down there.
- One of the "Item Mix-up" videos has Mario receiving a flying carpet, which pleases him, but he then ponders what happened to Yoshi, which then cuts to the poor critter and Aladdin screaming and painfully burning to death in the molten lava while in the infamous Cave of Wonders escape sequence (complete with the actual music from the Sega Genesis version).
- "Ice World Problems" has Mario and Luigi trapped in the aforementioned Ice World, albeit in a much darker tone, involving a Goomba freezing to death, Mario killing Luigi and wearing his skin to protect himself and two hungry wolves soon eating him. Then Peach. And even Bowser.
- "The Secret Horror of Mario Anatomy" has Yoshi taking his shoes off, only to find out that they are actually part of his body. The results are as gruesome as you'd expect after hearing that.
Mario: Oh god! The shoes! They're just-a part of your a-flesh!
Yoshi: Oh, shit, that's right! You literally never see me without these shoes on! I was born with these on! - "Who is the NEWEST Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?!? has Master Splinter come across a batch of Mutagen and makes a new brother for the Turtles...only the ooze was bad and what came out was something out of a John Carpenter movie that eats Splinter, assimilates Raphael and Donatello, traumatizes Michelangelo into a catatonic state, and drives Leonardo to commit Hara-Kiri.
