- The entire Annunciation House arc. Everything from the Womb Horror inflicted on Eiko to the incestuous origins of "Angel" is outright horrific.
- Asura's backstory in which he unknowingly ate his own father after his abusive stepmother turned his body into meatballs.
- As the trio sets out for Kyoto, the God visits Ai in her sleep and torments her by making her entirely aware of what will happen to her once she becomes his "bride."
- The A Dam ghost killing innocent men, trapping their spirits, and then raping them for her own amusement, not even allowing them to escape from her torment via death.
- Keitarou being possessed by the curse at Daimyojin Shrine and nearly stabbing Eiko to death in her sleep.
