Nightmare Fuel / Chouriki Sentai Ohranger

  • The way the Barlo Soldiers move in Episode 1 when they surround the four soon-to-be Ohrangers is supposed to be similar to a monkey’s movements but it only makes them look very unnatural and out of place, especially since they aren’t human and are alien robots.

  • During his fight with Bara Drill, Gorō is almost impaled by the Machine Beast who uses its drill to try and brutally kill him.

  • Bara Saucer is a giant Machine Beast which is the first giant monster the Ohrangers fight, while it isn’t that disturbing looking in itself, it still lacks any goodwill towards humanity and has no qualms about picking up a bus with children on it or trying to destroy said bus with its giant hands. It also looks like something you’d wouldn’t want to encounter in real life, plus, it’s based on a flying saucer.

  • Bara Crusher in Episode 4 has to be one of the more disturbing monsters in Super Sentai history, before the Ohrangers kill the first one, it bit a police officer with smaller bug-like versions of itself going into the man’s bloodstream, turning him into a new Bara Crusher that’s part-machine and part-human, not to mention the fact that this new Bara Crusher kidnaps children for the same purpose. How does the officer react to this? By putting his gun to his head perfectly willing to shoot himself to rid his body of the parasites and to protect his son. It doesn’t help that he does this right in front of the Ohrangers and his son.

  • After his defeat in Episode 5, Bara Cactus 1 heads back to the Baranoia Palace only to discover that his younger brother, Bara Cactus 2 was killed by Bacchus Wrath with the Emperor stating that Machine Beasts aren’t meant to love just before Bara Cactus 1 futilely attempts to attack him with Bacchus Wrath blasting him to pieces while stomping on his severed head before declaring that Baranoia will succeed in killing the Ohrangers and conquering Earth. While they were monsters, one can’t help but feel bad for the Bara Cactus brothers as 1 slowly began to feel empathy after seeing how human siblings interact and 2 looked up to his brother, which shows how depraved those of Baranoia are, including to their own kind.
