The night has its charms, yes, but also its own share of horrors.
Episode 1
- He had no way of knowing better at the time, so you couldn't blame Yamori for being scared when the odd girl who invited him to sleep at her apartment suddenly says she can't hold herself back anymore, before biting his neck and sucking his blood while thinking he's fast asleep.
- She pulled quite the Slasher Smile, too.
- Yamori also had no way to know that Nazuna would catch him; he genuinely believed that he would die after she kicked him off the top of a building.
Episode 6
- Shirakawa's comments imply that her boss and coworkers sexually harass her when they go drinking. She goes out of her way to make sure they don't learn where she lives in case they stop trying to pass it off as a joke.
- Nazuna throws Shirakawa off her apartment's window when just a few minutes ago she was having a massage. All just because Yamori didn't want her to go back to work.
Episode 7
- Yamori runs into a Gyaru Girl who tells him how she's not having fun of late, finds everything to be a drag and that she has no one to talk to anymore. Naturally, Yamori empathizes with her, before it turns out that not only does the girl know his name, she's also a vampire who's about to bite him.
- Then another vampire shows up and abducts Yamori while Nazuna is too busy to help him.
- The vampire council gives Yamori an ultimatum: pick any of them to turn him into a vampire or they will kill him. Given the scale of Nazuna's fight with Seri, it's clear they can do so with frightening ease.
Episode 8
- Turns out, humans have a time limit of one year to turn into a vampire after they are first bitten. If Yamori can't meet the deadline, the vampire council will kill him anyway.
Episode 9
- One of the guys Seri usually hangs out with follows her to the karaoke club, where he glares at Seri and Yamori while banging at the door.
- Yamori insists he will calm down if Seri simply talks to him. He quickly changes his tune when Akiyama enters the room with a crazed look on his face. He even thinks to himself how that's not a face you can reason with.
- Seri casually decides to kill Akiyama since she can't be bothered to deal with him anymore. When she lunges at him and Yamori shoves him out of the way, she ends up hitting the door instead; the force of her attack is enough to snap it off its hinges. Yamori and Akiyama would've probably made a much bigger mess if she had struck them.
Episode 10
- While they don't have all the facts just yet, it becomes apparent that someone is stalking Arisa and taking racy pictures of her when no one is looking.
Episode 11
- Anko asks Yamori if he has seen any signs of Akiyama, who apparently has been reported missing. When Yamori lies that he hasn't, Anko suddenly pulls him closer, looks him dead in the eye and asks if he's telling her the truth. It's so sudden that it visibly unnerves Yamori.
- After they parted ways, Anko secretly followed Yamori to Nazuna's apartment building, commenting to herself that "the catch was bigger than [she] thought".
- What was supposed to be a simple night of fun and reconnecting quickly turns into a waking nightmare when Yamori, Akira and Mahiru actually run into the missing teacher from ten years ago, who turns out to be a starving vampire.
- The vampire eerily states that he "wants the girl" while licking his lips and salivating, before lunging at Akira. He then proceeds to drool all over her face while Mahiru tries to stop him from attacking her.
- The way he has Akira pinned against the floor is quite reminiscent of something else.
- "WHY ARE THERE STUDENTS HERE AT THIS HOUR?!"
- Akira is so terrified that she can only apologize without really understanding what exactly she's apologizing for. Yamori, on the other hand, is so shocked at having run into such a violent vampire out of nowhere that it takes him a while before he finally decides to help.
- The vampire eerily states that he "wants the girl" while licking his lips and salivating, before lunging at Akira. He then proceeds to drool all over her face while Mahiru tries to stop him from attacking her.
- The vampire briefly regains a semblance of lucidity after Yamori smashes a chair on his face and tells everyone to get away. When Anko exposes her neck, however, he is unable to contain himself any longer and lunges at her instead.
- Anko casually tries to explain the situation to the kids while her neck is splattered with her own blood and the vampire is retching from the taste of her blood. She's so unfazed by the entire situation it's almost scary. How many times has she been in a similar situation before?
- She then reveals that the vampire hasn't fed for ten years. Hes not just starving: he's ravenous.
- Let that sink in: he's been hungry for Ten. Long. Years.
- Anko calls out Yamori for protesting her killing the vampire and for thinking all vampires were nice. But then she says something that outlines just how much more she knows than she lets on:
Episode 12
- When Yamori refuses to see things her way, Anko calls the cops on him so that he can't go out at night anymore. Right in front of him.
- Judging from Anko's side of the conversation, the police was already somewhat aware of a teenager roaming around that area of the city at night.
- While running from the scene, Yamori accidentally runs into a police car with its sirens blaring while crossing an overhead bridge. He manages to elude them by hiding in a park.
Episode 13
- Hatsuka, easily the mildest member in the vampire council so far, glares at his offspring and calmly reproaches them for badmouthing Yamori, whom he has invited to his apartment. His otherwise fanatically loyal offspring are quickly cowed into silence.
- While Niko has expressed some short temper, she utterly flips out when Nazuna appears before the council to request that they spare Yamori since he expressed hesitation towards the idea of becoming a vampire. After getting insulted by Nazuna, Niko becomes a psychotic monster with razor-sharp teeth who proceeds to smash the table in half all while angrily trying to force her to explain what made Yamori different compared from the other hundreds of humans.
- In order to protect both Nazuna and Yamori, Hatsuka offers to turn Yamori into his offspring. When Yamori points out he would have to fall in love with Hatsuka for that to work, he replies that he'll just skip the whole "falling in love" bit by brainwashing him into thinking he has, just like he (allegedly) did to the rest of his offspring. Yamori is rightfully revolted at how casual Hatsuka is about it.Hatsuka: Romantic attraction is basically like being brainwashed, anyway.
