Issue 1
- Deathstroke is labeled "Father of the year", a meme that developed referencing Slade's treatment of his children.
- Hawkeye alludes to Deathstroke's relationship with Terra in The Judas Contract.
- Deathstroke compares Hawkeye to Nightwing.
- Akiza Izayoi's name is a combination of her American given name and her Japanese surname.
- Akiza confuses U.S. Agent for Captain America.
- When Akiza hits Agent with his shield, it makes a 'wank' sound, which recalls an infamous Captain America panel.
- The information Mark Twelve displays on Gajeel and Akiza mentions Metallicana, several Fairy Tail members, Mystogan, Akiza's parents, Sayer, Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas.
- Mark Twelve mentions both of them having criminal records.
- Sayer's surname is listed as "Divine", his original Japanese name.
Issue 2
- Akiza gets pissed off when Gajeel suggests that she's a witch. She was repeatedly called "witch" as a derogative in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds.
- Baron Zemo mentions Hawkeye taking over the Thunderbolts.
- Batman mentions Major Force infamously stuffing a woman into a refrigerator.
- Black Rose Dragon apparently tells Akiza about Lancer being Cu Chulainn, and references the 'gay bulge' meme from Fate/Stay Night.
- Gajeel is surprised to see Black Rose Dragon. In his home series, dragons are mostly extinct.
- Hawkeye's first line in issue 2 is "Okay. This looks bad.", a reference to Matt Faction's Hawkeye run.
- Zemo gets a call from “Nazi-Cap”, and compares him to the William Burnside Captain America.
- Lancer alludes to the Crimson Dragon.
Issue 3
- Riddler references the Arcadia Movement, which upsets Akiza.
- Aki forgets she can teleport. In her first appearance, Aki disappears in a flash of bright light, but that power is never seen again.
- Hawkeye threatens Bane by saying "My Azrael is the Scarlet Witch".
- Hawkeye guesses Spoiler's codename is Orpheus, an oft-forgotten member of the Batfamily.
