Susanna Marie Cork, known professionally as SuRie (born 18 February 1989), is an English singer-songwriter and musician.

SuRie is best known for representing the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Storm". During her performance in the final, an unexpected protestor rushed onto stage and interrupted SuRie mid-song, shouting unsavory remarks about the country.

Despite being given a chance to perform again at the end of the running order, SuRie stood by her performance as was and declined. She ultimately finished twenty-fourth, giving the UK one of their worst results in the competition.

2018 wasn't SuRie's first experience at the contest. She previously sang backup for Belgium's Loïc Nottet in 2015, and then served as the country's musical director for Blanche's performance in 2017.

SuRie provides examples of:

  • Ascended Extra: She previously appeared at two different editions of the Eurovision Song Contest before she competed as a solo artist. Both times were as part of the Belgian delegation.
  • Recycled Title: She actually has two songs titled "Storm" — the one that appears on her debut album, and the other she competed with at Eurovision.
  • Stiff Upper Lip: In true British fashion, SuRie didn't let an unexpected nuisance derail her performance.
