I'm gonna make these tropes your home:

  • Alliterative Name: Phillip Phillips.
  • Face on the Cover: The cover of "The World from the Side of the Moon" is a close up of him holding his guitar.
  • The Last DJ: He was rather notable for repeatedly ignoring the advice he was given during American Idol—not only from Jimmy Lovine, who told him to stop bringing his guitar out on stage, but also from famed fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger who was a wardrobe consultant for the show that season.
  • Repetitive Name: Besides his name there's also "Gone Gone Gone".
  • You Are Not Alone: The singer reassures his lover this in "Home".
Just know you are not alone, because I'm gonna make this place your home.
