Tropes

  • Beach Episode: Now United goes to the beach in the web series's Goa and Rio episodes.
  • Custom Uniform of Sexy: Sometimes, the feminine variant of the uniforms worn by the group are made up of crop tops and high-waist trousers, exposing the girls' upper midriffs.
  • Girls vs. Boys Plot: The group has had twice as many girls as boys, so they have seen it happen. Best shown in the season 3 episode 23 Now United Games and the lead up to the next member's discovery after Melaine towards the end of season 3 and the first few episodes of season 4.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: In the song "Paraná".
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Considering Now United's status as a multinational group, this is expected:
    • This [6] video, for example, Sofya challenges her fellow group members to say random words in Russian and also say many things in their respective languages.
    • Sabina and Joalin speak in Spanish in part of their respective introduction videos.
    • Noah saying "Hi" in Japanese and then in Korean in the second voice change episode.
    • Shivani gets a rap part in Hindi in the songs "Dana" and "Pas Le Choix".
    • "Pas Le Choix" itself could qualify for this trope, as it features French, English, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and the aforementioned Hindi.
  • Multinational Team: The group's main marketing point. Their outfits often include their countries' flags somewhere.
    • In the group's webseries, the members are introduced with their names and their countries' names alongside a rounded flag.
    • When the group appeared in Brazilian late-night show The Noite com Danilo Gentili, the members, except for Krystian and Lamarnote , who couldn't show up, held paper flags.

  • Sixth Ranger: In mid-2019, it was announced that two new members would join Now United. Fans could choose which countries would be represented by these two new members. One of these two new members will be Australian. On November 27th 2019, a video was released by the group's official YouTube channel, announcing that the sixteenth member will be from the Middle East and North Africa.
