M-Kids was a Belgian Dance music girl group who was known for their songs "Funky Monkey", and "Over and Out" in 2002. The band lasted from 2000 to 2005.

Tropes in M-Kids include:

  • Age-Inappropriate Dress: In the video for "Funky Monkey", Davina shakes her hips while showing her belly to the camera.
  • Big Damn Heroes: In "Funky Monkey", the titular CGI monkey saves the girls from being roasted by the jungle tribe.
  • Breather Episode: “En Mooie Droom” is a more chill song and the video contains a warm atmosphere unlike the energetic backgrounds and Europop songs they’re known for.
  • Cannibal Tribe: In the video for "Funky Monkey" the band gets kidnapped by a tribe that plans to roast them over a fire.
  • Christmas Episode: "En Mooie Droom" (translating to "Like a Dream") and its video takes place in an Austrian village where a group of boys become attracted to the girls. Downplayed in the sense that its not on Christmas, but it is snowy and the song contains jingle bells.
  • Friend to Bugs: In the video for "Over and Out", there is a robot bug that dances with the girls in the lab.
  • Girlish Pigtails: They often wore their hair in twin pigtails in photos and music videos, fitting their youthful appearances.
  • Halloween Episode: Their song "Halloween" is about Halloween creatures and scares.
  • Missed Him by That Much: In the video for “En Mooie Droom” the girls keep missing a group of boys who fall in love with them wherever they go in the village, and are close to encountering them. However, they do eventually and properly meet toward the end and have hot chocolate by the fire.
  • Short-Runner: The girls formed the group in 2000 and broke up in 2005 due to growing older and wanting to pursue mature subjects.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Telephone Teleport: In the video for "SMS", the girls teleport to Britt's mansion and boys show up to have a pillow fight.
