Luke James Boyd (born June 13, 1984) is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Initially starting out as a backup singer for Tyrese Gibson (who also mentored James), he was signed by Clive Davis to his label J Records. While recording his own music, he wrote for other artists, such as Britney Spears, Chris Brown, and Justin Bieber. As an actor, he's most known for his roles in The New Edition Story and The Chi.
