Imploding the Mirage is the sixth studio album by American rock band The Killers. It was released on August 21, 2020.
The album features many noteworthy production factoids. It was created with virtually no involvement from Dave Keuning, who was undertaking a personal hiatus from the band that began during the Wonderful Wonderful era. Mark Stoermer also took on a reduced presence, leaving Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci as the band's major creative forces. Joining them is a noteworthy roster of guest musicians, including Lindsey Buckingham, Adam Granduciel, Weyes Blood, k.d. lang, Blake Mills and Lucius, along with production credits from Jonathan Rado of Foxygen and Shawn Everett.
The album proved to be the band's most critically acclaimed work since perhaps their 2004 debut album Hot Fuss.
