Hate is a Polish blackened death metal band formed in 1991. Along with Vader, Decapitated, and Behemoth, they are considered to be one of the "big four" of Poland's death metal scene.

Their sound is often compared to the latter band, but with an interesting twist involving their music's direction essentially going in reverse order - initially a straight-up death metal act taking heavy influence from the Florida sound, they started introducing black metal elements into their music starting with their fifth album Anaclasis and gradually increased them with each subsequent release, eventually becoming slightly more black than death by the mid-2010s.

Hate's songs at first covered subjects along the lines of Satanism and blasphemy, but by the time their sound began evolving, they developed a lyrical approach leaning towards spirituality and mysticism. The group have released 12 studio albums as of 2021.
