Bobby McFerrin (born Robert Keith McFerrin Jr. on March 11, 1950) is an American folk and jazz artist. He's well known for his vocal ability by singing fluidly with several jumps in pitch, making him well versed in scat and vocal percussion. He is known for the single "Don't Worry, Be Happy", which became a number one hit in the US in 1988. He also performed the theme song for Season 4 of The Cosby Show as well as other media projects throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

  • Scatting: One of his many talents for vocal percussion.
  • Think Happy Thoughts: The basic premise of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" is to not think about any worries going on, just be happy.
