Well, you can tell everybody
Yeah, you can tell everybody
Go ahead and tell everybody
I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man
Well, you can tell everybody
Yeah, you can tell everybody
Go ahead and tell everybody
I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man

If I share with you my story, would you share your tropes with me?

  • Drowning My Sorrows: The protagonist of "I Need A Dollar" mentions resorting to drinking as a result of his plight which also contributed to his current state.
I had some good old buddies, names is Whiskey and Wine
And for my good old buddies I spent my last dime
Now Wine is good to me, he help me pass the time
And my good old buddy Whiskey keep me warmer than sunshine
  • Lyrical Dissonance: "I Need A Dollar" is very upbeat and peppy for a song about a man becoming homeless after losing his job and reduced to begging strangers to give him money to make ends meet.
  • Shout-Out: "The Man"'s melody and use of "You can tell everybody" is based on Elton John's "Your Song".
