X-Men

• "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? ...Same thing that happens to everything else." ^Explanation Many people quote this due to how cheesy it is.

X2: X-Men United

• "Well, now they know, Bobby, just let it go." ^Explanation The quote is what some fans like to say to Bobby Drake a.k.a. Iceman regarding his interaction with his family, when they are shocked and uncomfortable about having a mutant son.

X-Men: The Last Stand

• "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" ^Explanation The already memetic line originated from a Gag Dub of the 90s cartoon (courtesy of My Way Entertainment) but became even more popular when included here.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

• "Barakapool" ^Explanation Referring to "Deadpool's" enormous retractable arm-mounted adamantium katanas and used to distinguish this incarnation of Deadpool in particular due to how it infamously throws out nearly everything that made the character what he is. Even said by Ryan Reynolds himself on Instagram.
• "Revenge Painting" ^Explanation Referring to an incident involving former Fox CEO Tom Rothman re-painting a set behind director Gavin Hood's back, is a term used to describe the copious amounts of Executive Meddling that went into the film.

X-Men: First Class

• "Perfection." ^Explanation Mystique attempts to seduce Magneto, but he's not impressed until he sees her true form, responding with the above line. The scene gave birth to a popular image macro with two variations. The first is used to favorably compare the poster's preferred iteration of a character/character archetype to various other portrayals. Said iteration tends to be the original or a least an older version of the character in question, but it is just as common to subvert this by jokingly presenting an unexpected, more obscure oddball portrayal of the character as the "superior" one. The second variation of the image macro is used to compare other characters who happen to share the same name. Meanwhile, a gif of Magneto's "Perfection" line is widely used in response to things the poster likes.
• "Peace was never an option." ^Explanation A line from Magneto in the trailer, regarding Sebastian Shaw. It's since been used as a caption for animal pictures to make them seem hostile, and as a declaration of war, usually over petty slights. However, in 2019, it's become more heavily associated with a thieving goose of all things.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

• "All those years wasted fighting each other, Charles...◊" (cut to Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart goofing off together)^Explanation  Fans took this line and linked it to the actors' real life bromance in adorable fashion.

Deadpool (2016)

• "Please don't suck." ^Explanation Before it was released, this was usually the first response to posts about the film, symbolizing the difficulty that it had in getting made.
• "SkullPoopL", from a very unique billboard.◊
• Given how the film is releasing close to Valentine's Day, selectively editing preview material to make the movie look like a romance. Which eventually became an Ascended Meme when Fox started doing it — Deadpool himself talks directly to the women in the audience that were taken there by clueless boyfriends about how the movie actually is a love story.
• Fans of the movie have taken the Ajax/Francis joke and ran with it by actually posting pictures of bottles of Ajax they bought with Ajax scribbled over and Francis written underneath.
  • Inversely, referring to people named Francis as Ajax. Example: Pope Ajax.
  • "WHERE'S FRANCIS?!" ^Explanation Deadpool yells this throughout the film.
• "Maximum effort!" ^Explanation Taken from Wade's repeated phrase.
• Deadpool's facial expression when Ajax manages to escape on the highway has been used as a reaction shot to various news.
• "Yay! Superhero landing!" has been used in response to many scenes when a character does the Three-Point Landing. This is especially true for the Captain America: Civil War trailer when Spider-Man is introduced doing the maneuver. "Superhero landing!" also gets used a lot for characters who fall and don't do a proper landing, such as what happened to War Machine in the aforementioned Captain America: Civil War.
• Fans had a lot of fun on International Women's Day referencing the relevant scene in the movie.
• There's an image macro showing Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (before the transformation), which is then followed by Michael Fassbender's Magneto from X-Men: First Class saying the similar line he said to Raven/Mystique in that film, "I prefer the real Deadpool." The next image shows Weapon XI a.k.a. the infamous mouth-sewn-shut interpretation of Deadpool from Origins, which got the Fan Nickname "Barakapool" (among others), which is followed by young Magneto again, this time saying, "I said the real Deadpool." And finally, the next image shows the comic-accurate Deadpool, followed by Magneto saying "Perfection."

X-Men: Apocalypse

• Apocalypse's learning of more than 5000 years of Earth's history by touching a television for a few minutes is pretty much comparable to how Ultron decided to destroy humanity after exploring Internet for a few minutes.

Logan

• Some fans have been quick to point out the similarities between this film and the video game The Last of Us.
• It's become popular on YouTube to recut trailers for other films in the style of this film's first trailer.
• After the second trailer dropped, the opening shot of X-23 raiding a convenience store for Pringles sparked a◊ surge◊ of◊ art◊ and◊ memes◊.
• Xavier's pained expression while spasming uncontrollably, with the camera shaking as well, has been commented by multiple viewers.
• This image of Logan peering out the window. Even Hugh Jackman got in on it.
• "What killed the mutants? The corn age!" ^Explanation This film reveals why mutants are "gone": Transigen genetically engineered a special form of corn that would eradicate the X-gene in the people who eat it, therefore sterilizing mutant births. Jokes have been made regarding this odd revelation.
• "Wolverine dies." Apparently, the etiquette of not blurting out spoilers became lost to the entire human population as soon as this movie came out, because it was impossible to be on the internet without bumping into several posts saying, well, that. It basically became a meme in itself.
• "NOT. OKAY." ^Explanation Logan reprimanding Laura for attacking a store clerk. This led to a bunch of fanart of Laura doing crazy/dangerous things and Logan angrily saying this to her in response.

Deadpool 2

• Ryan Reynolds posted an image◊ of Deadpool painting Cable, only in reality using him as reference to paint Brand instead, for Josh Brolin's birthday. Cue photoshops of Deadpool painting superheroes and other characters, but previous roles the actors had or similar looking characters being on the canvas. Even the Merc with the Mouth himself wasn't safe.◊
• So dark, you sure you're not from the DC universe?" ^Explanation Deadpool taking a jab at Cable and DC comics over how Darker and Edgier the character is.
• "Zip it, Thanos!" ^Explanation Deadpool poking fun at the fact Cable actor Josh Brolin also played Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
• "Well... [aside glance] ... that's just lazy writing." ^Explanation In the trailer: Deadpool's remark when Cable threatens him with the line "Your time's up, you dumbfuck!" In the movie: Deadpool's remark when Cable says that his time travel device has a limited charge so the user can't jump around time at will. The line has been used as a remark when there is a sentence that doesn't make sense, or a genuinely terrible line in media.
• Adopting the "most ambitious crossover in history" meme from Avengers: Infinity War, fans of this movie respond with images or gifs of Deadpool dancing with Céline Dion.
