- Bomb Grub. Explanation Generally considered one of the worst items in the game, due to its unwieldy nature. It became an Ascended Meme for a while as it was a high shard unlock, before becoming a Discredited Meme, as the effect was changed in the Beta for 2.0.
- Skill? Explanation One of the emotes shows one of the Culteyes staring at the viewer, with text at the bottom saying "Skill?"
- Smudge.Explanation Another emote shows the cat the caretaker is often seen by. They're one of the only characters that gets a name like that.
- Never trust SmudgeExplanation A jab at the fact that Smudge never talks, so we don't know who they work for.
- Two of the mods are a bit famous for causing a lot of memes. Adam, due to his puns, and Funguy, due to some opinions not commonly shared by many of the other people.
- "This I have Acceptance for." and other similar wordplay.
- Now we need to wait for the next stage. Explanation Someone was talking to Ben about a change they were upset about. The person then ended up asking if Ben could halve the nerf. Someone else then pointed up that person was going through the stages of grief.
- Revita Kid is named Ted. Explanation Someone pointed out that one of the gravestones that could be found in the 4th level had morse code on it for Ted. For some reason, it ended up getting attached to Revita Kid.
- Ted my beloved.
- In a similar vain, Revita Kid is sometimes playfully referred to as Enby Kid. Explanation Revita Kid has been confirmed to be Non-binary, with Enby being a term for Nonbinaries.
- Depression: The new player killer Explanation The irony that Depression is often a roadblock for some newer players is not lost on the community.
- The boss being named Depression leads to a lot of out-of-context quotes as well.
- Caretaker Moment Explanation The caretaker has an emote as well, but more importantly, due to some of the caretaker lines when dying to an enemy being somewhat mean, many people will say "caretaker moment" to these lines whenever someone talks about these lines.
- 'Yo Hommie, you wanna get down with some dope flowers?' Explanation It's possible to edit the game's lines by going to the loc_en text. One of the first uses of this was making the caretaker say this line.
- Walking Caretaker Explanation After beating Acceptance for the first time in 1.0, a cutscene plays where the Caretaker walks up to the train. This got a pretty big reaction from some of the YouTubers, since the Caretaker, and in fact, no other NPC character had walked like that.
- BANGER Explanation The alt forms of Anger and Depression are commonly referred to as Banger, combing Bee and Anger, and Deepression, putting Deep in Depression. People were quick to point out it, and someone made an emote, and it became an official emote on the discord server.
- That's deep. Explanation There's also another emote of Deepression that is not official, but is sometimes used as well.
- Fire rat Explanation Someone misspelled Fire Rate as "Fire rat", and the community went a bit wild with it.
- Another Meme'ed misspelling was Cupported Chunk.
- Revita Kid Factory: Explanation When the trigger warning was added, people begin to speculate about the story. Eventually, it ended up with someone making a GIF of Revita kid on a factory line, saying that "oh yeah we about to make huggable plushes of a presumably dead child". Now somewhat of an Ascended Meme now that a plushe actually exists.
- Acceptance is a bayblade/Enigma has too many bullets. Explanation On higher shards with ticky tactics/Brutal Bosses, enemies and bosses produce more bullets. Enigma takes this to the extreme, with every attack adding more than just an extra bullet. Acceptance is a lot calmer... except when using saw blades. People wondered if it's actually possible to no-hit this fight until it was finally adjusted.
- PFW/PAW Explanation Meaning "People for Wiggles" and "People against Wiggles", the wiggles in question is an attack of Bargaining's.
- The Orpheus Theory Explanation Someone vandalized the wiki, changing Revita Kid's name to Orpheus. This, added with someone who had been theorizing that the events were something similar to the story of Orpheus made it an infamous word.
- Wrong Game, that's Persona 3. Explanation In Persona 3, the protagonist would also climbs a tower and had blue hair. In that game, the protagonist's first Persona was Orpheus.
- YOU'RE NOT ME!!! / I am a shadow... the true self... Explanation Persona 4 fans in the community often joke about Enigma's line "Whether or not you want to admit it, you're me, and this is the part that must always come next", Acceptance and Enigma's journal entries, and, in 1.0, the hug Revita kid gives to Acceptance.
- Revita is secretly a persona sequel. Explanation On top of Acceptance and the Orpheus theories, there are a lot of things that are compared to Persona games. Some of these include the Shades's appearance, the trains that have the shades, Revita Kid's Soul Gun, the roman numbers on the masks of the bosses, and general themes.
- Regret needs more HP. Explanation(Spoilers!) When the final final boss was added, Regret had a stupidly low amount of HP, that most runs could easily destroy Regret. Then her HP got upgraded to such an insane amount that fans complained. Finally, she now sits at 4000 HP, but Funguy continues to say she needs more HP.
- Reviter Explanation The main troper who is working on this meme page wasn't actually able to find where this came from, but it's possibly meant to be a joke on how someone pronounced Revita in a cowboy-ish accent. Often this meme comes with Revita Kid wearing the cowboy hat.
- Ben has a weird definition of "new content" Explanation Before 2.0 was announced, Ben was adding "fixes" and "minor changes"... expect for the fact a lot of people saw this as new content, and Ben denied this was the case before finally caving in. This is a Discredited Meme.
- The FINAL final update Explanation Borrowing this meme from Terraria, people were quick to point out how suspicious Ben's claims of the "minor changes" being the final update was, and still are when Ben has possibly hinted at DLC.
- Revita Kid Plushie Explanation There was a makeshift campaign for a plushie of Revita Kid. This not only lead to an emote, but lots of jokes about it, too.
- crime Explanation Benstar tweeted drew a drawing of Revita Kid, in which they have a mischievous look on their face, and the tweet was simply "ready to commit crime." It was quickly pushed to be an emote.
- Re-[thing] or Un-[thing] Explanation The 2.0 update is officially called "Refocused". This resulted in many users changing their discord name to something starting with Re- or Un-.
