- Connected All Along: Inverted. The reader is initially led to believe that Theo is somehow connected to Kara after he's revealed to be a dragon. The ending reveals that the two have nothing to do with each other—Theo is actually a young dragon from another world who met and fell in love with Chloe during her second life. When she died saving him and her soul returned to her original world, he decided to search the multiverse to find and reunite with her, eventually succeeding and reincarnating into the Theo the story has been following.
- Interclass Friendship: Deconstructed with Chloe and Theo, after Chloe becomes a princess and Theo is brought to the imperial palace to be a servant.
