- Academy of Adventure: All the students in Blake Academy are trained in live combat, and the main characters frequently have to dodge kidnapping and assassination attempts.
- Accidental Murder: Zhang Nan, traumatized by being held at gun-point by the widow of a man his family was framed for murdering, and being splashed with her blood as she was shot to save him, is moping on the roof of some tall building. His friend tries to pat him on the back to cheer him up, only for Zhang to reflexively swat at the arm getting too close. Said friend winds up taking a high-dive into concrete at least three stories down. Looking over the edge, Zhan and his family gets angrily decried by the masses.
- Dramatically Missing the Point: Zhang Nan wanted to cut ties with his yakuza heritage due to a couple of incidents in his early childhood. So he tells his father and grandfather "I want to be a normal school student." They sell off everything of value and drag him out of his normal high-school, where he's being bullied for being yakuza, and shipped off to the yakuza academy "so he'll be the most normal student there." He is naturally not pleased.
