Yume Mitai na Hoshi Mitai na ("Like a Dream, Like a Star") is a short yuri manga by Kanao Araki, which ran in Dengeki Daioh in 2006 for only seven chapters that were later compiled into a single volume.

Meiji Aporo's just started attending Saint Richard Academy, a girls' boarding school. Unfortunately, Aporo's kind of a massive ditz, which annoys her roommate Chiroru to no end. Not one to be discouraged, though, Aporo does her best to win Chiroru over...or maybe drive her crazy, whichever comes first.

This manga provides cuteness and examples of the following tropes:

• Beach Episode: Chapter 3. Justified, they go to the beach so Chiroru can learn to swim.

• Character Development: Aporo goes from a total ditz who keep on bugging Chiroru into someone who is actually capable of forming a meaningful relationship with her.
• Childhood Marriage Promise: Between Chiroru and her big brother. But her big brother is going to be married soon. Luckily, Aporo is there for her.

• Meido: Aporo's class does a Maid Cafe for the school festival.

• One-Gender School: The story takes place at an all-girls boarding school.
