Leave it to PET! (Makasete PET-kun) is a children's Comedy Manga by Kenji Sonishi. It was serialized in Comic BunBun from 2004 to 2008, and is licensed in English by Viz Media.

Noboru Yamada is an average 9-year-old boy with average 9-year-old boy problems-bullies, homework, chores-that sort of thing.

Then one day, he recycled a plastic bottle. To his surprise, that plastic bottle returned to him as PET, a robot who is determined to make Noboru's life better to repay him for recycling him... shame he's not too good at it. In fact, his attempts to help often makes things worse.

But that aside, now Noboru's life as anything but ordinary thanks to PET, and all the other robots made from recycled things that show up as the Manga progresses.

Leave It To PET! contains examples of:

  • Black Bead Eyes: Noboru's and PET's eyes are drawn this way.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Despite being devoted to helping Noboru, anything Pet does either has no effect, or makes the situation worse.
  • Robot Buddy: PET is essentially this to Noboru, though he frequently makes mistakes when trying to help Noboru out.
  • Say My Name: Noboru can call Pet to him by calling out "PEEEEEET!".
