Excuse Me Dentist, It's Touching Me! (歯医者さん、あタってます!, Haisha-san, Atattemasu!), also known as Dentist-san, Your Boobs Are Touching Me! is a 2020 comedy shonen manga serialized in Shounen Jump+, with art and writing by Shou Yamazaki.

This page will not tag the First-Episode Spoiler in chapter one, so be mindful of that while reading.

The story follows Takuma Kurosumi, aka "Kurosumi, The Unmoving", the second in command Yakuza of the Kokuyou group, who has an unusual fear and discomfort around women, stemming from his cruel older sisters. His caretaker tricks him into facing his fears, which leads him into the patient chair of the charming and slightly sadistic dentist Tomori Shirayuki, for whom he immediately falls in love. Back home, Takuma is decided to try to get with Tomori, but unknown to him, Tomori is actually a cross-dressing man, who is also the second in command of the enemy group, the Shinju Family.

Trope

  • Adaptational Job Change: In the One-shot, Tomori was not mentioned to have any connection to the Yakuza, here, he is the second in command of another family.
  • Almost Kiss: Tomori hides his and Takuma's face behind a fan from his father, the two look like they're kissing.
  • Ambiguously Gay: In the one-shot, Takuma learns that Tomori is a man when they find each other in a public bath, but the sight of a naked, male Tomori does nothing to stop Takuma's erection, in fact, he gets hard again from it, implying he is still attracted to him.
  • Bisexual Love Triangle: Unknowingly. Takuma is in love with Tomori, while Ai is in love with him, but he is not aware that he is choosing a man over a woman, since he thinks Tomori is a woman too. Even when Ai learns of Tomori and Takuma's situation, she doesn't discard the possibility the two men might still end up together and sees Tomori as a love rival.
  • Connected All Along: Ai and Tomori are college friends. Not only that, but jokingly, it was Ai who convinced Tomori to crossdress.
  • Cute and Psycho: Mikaze Ezaki, the younger sister of Takuma's caretaker, and someone who has a tendency of walking around with brass knuckles as accessories aside from stalking people she thinks of as a love rival.
  • Double Entendre: During their date, Takuma keeps mentioning Tomori's "balls", while this is referring to the round pearls in a ribbon he wears in his hair, he is unaware that this comes off as he is talking about Tomori's privates.
  • Double Meaning: "The Unmoving" is a title Takuma received both because of his prowess in battle and because of his apparent impotence.
  • Dramatic Irony: Mostly played for comedy as a lot of the characters are working with different sets of information, and only the reader knows what's real or not. One example occurs when Akoya and Takuma talk about their loved ones, and he mentions how her fiance and the person he is in love with sound very similar in some aspect, completely unaware that they're talking about the same person.
  • Farce: The manga relies on a pretty convoluted series of misunderstandings for comedy, leaving characters puzzled about which characters have which information. There are a number of characters that seem sure that Takumi knows of Tomori's secret and is fine with it, others don't know Tomori's secret, a group of characters thinks his secret is just his boob size, so on and so forth.
    • Akoya's introduction causes a huge one when she mistakes the Kokuyou group for the Shinju group. This makes her think that Takuma is Tomori, and tells him she is his fianceé, prompting widespread confusion in the group as they try to understand the situation.
  • First-Episode Spoiler: Tomori is a man and a member of the enemy group to Kurosumi's.
  • Foreshadowing: In the first chapter, Takuma says he feels like he is around a partner in crime with whom he shared a sake when in Tomori's presence, an early hint that Tomori is a man and a Yakuza.
  • Just Friends: Tomori tries to be this, but Takuma states that his feelings are not the feelings he has for friends.
  • Mistaken for Gay: Knowing about Tomori's gender, Mima has assumed that Takuma also knows, and is fine with being in a relationship with another man. Takuma still has no idea about Tomori's gender though.
  • Ship Tease: Quite a bit between the two male leads. Tomori in particular might have started developing feelings for Takuma, being confused about their relationship and even wondering how the problems of the Yakuza fights might be solved if they actually did get together, and hardly seems bothered by the many times Takuma makes his romantic intentions clear.
    • When out shopping together, Kurosumi says that his father has had dreams of him marrying a crossdresser, but that he himself can't see himself marrying anyone but Tomori, whether man or woman.
  • Shout-Out: When talking with Ezaki during his check-up, Tomori's notes about him being amnesiac about his time before the Yakuza are written as "That Time He Got Reincarnated As An Idiot."
  • Surrounded by Idiots: Tomori's general demeanor is this. The members of the Kokuyou and their friends that flocked around him range from quirky to crazy, and all of the ones that end up as her patient are weirdos.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Tomori crossdresses for a few reasons: he finds it fun, he thinks he looks nice when doing so, and it makes it easier to have a life outside of the Yakuza, he's overall a very nice man outside of his insensitivity when talking and snarky tendencies, and the sanest person in the cast.
