- Really Royalty Reveal: Darcy and Tory learn they’re both the heirs to the throne of Solaria near the start of the first book.
- School of Hard Knocks: Students can brutally maim each other with little to no consequences for doing so.
- Superpower Lottery: While every Fae has the ability to control at least one element, Darcy and Tory are able to control all four.
