The The Nuepayper Files is a wiki site dedicated to holding the files of the government of the titular fictitious micronation, Nuepayper. These files contain everything from information on the climate of Nuepayper, to the descriptions of the deadly creatures that their mortal enemies, the Itanimulli, genetically engineered. Tropes Found In the The Nuepayper Files Include:
- Conlang: The people of Nuepayper speak a langague called Yibsunese or lingi'Yibsuni (literally meaning Sunflower language). The neat thing about this language is that it is also a conlang(constructed language) in-universe made by Nuepaypers founders.
- Epistolary Novel: All of the information and storyline is told through the files of the Nuepayperian government.
- Fictional Country: As far as we know, there is no island country called Nuepayper somewhere past Antarctica in our world. Technically, they are not considered a country, but close enough.
- Hidden Elf Village: Downplayed. While most the inhabitants of Nuepayper certainly do not have anything to do with the outside world, one branch of their military, the Outerlands Defense Force, help protect it from the Itanimulli.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Downplayed. While the king (and the ones before him) would rather not have to fight in a war or anything like that, he would fight in it or become its general if push comes to shove.
- Translation Convention: Even though the official and most used language in Nuepayper is Yibsunese, it would be assumed that most of their files would be in their home tongue. But it is not in Yibsunese, it is in English. Justified in the fact that Yibsunese is not a natural language, and nobody can speak or read it, thus alienating the reader. Add to the fact that Yibsunese script does not the Latin Alphabet or any other script of any other natural languages, meaning the maker has to program a keyboard just to write in it (unless you use the Romanized version, but that is still pretty unlikely to be used by them).
- Translator Microbes: What some of the Outerlands Defense Force and others use when dealing with Outerlands languages. This is because while even though Nuepayperians have the option to take a foreign language in their schools,taking it is not mandatory. Heck, while English is offered to them, they are encouraged to learn "smaller" languages like Lithuanian or Finnish.
- The Good King: All of Nuepaypers line of kings have been nice and reasonable people.
- The Outside World: What the rest of Earth is considered to them.
- Veganopia: While it is not a perfect country, all of its residents are vegetarian or vegan.
