The third book in the Wheelerverse. It stars a girl named Katie Elaz, who fell into a vat of chemicals that made her into the superhero Rubber Girl.

- Big Bad: Bellatrix Limbar AKA Limbella was a cat burglar who was known as the "Most Flexible Woman in the World" until she encountered the Rubber Girl and realized she needed stretchy powers to compete with her.
- Brand X: McDaffy's was a restaurant with a name similar to McDonald's. However, unlike McDonald's, McDaffy's has a waitress.
- Chekhov's Gunman: Selina Gill is introduced as a mermaid that needs to be saved from poachers. Then Katie needs her to save Robert from drowning.
- Continuity Cameo: The Justicers make an appearance to help Rubber Girl fight Boulderman and some jewel thieves. They then gave Rubber Girl a card to recruit her onto the team. They later get new suits from Elaztix.
- Distressed Dude: Robert is tortured by Limbella and thrown into the lake. Good thing Katie calls Selina to save him.
- Dressed All in Rubber: Elaztixium is mixture of rubber and plastic that is sold as clothing at Elaztix.
- Melissa Robinson wore an Elaztixium shirt the day Katie came back to school after the accident at Elaztix.
- Rubber Girl not only wears an Elaztixium Leotard of Power but her skin is Elaztixium. They don't call her Rubber Girl for nothing.
- Flying Boy and Flying Girl get their new suits from Elaztix.
- Leotard of Power: Rubber Girl's legless leotard stretched with her. When Katie tried it on, she checked if it would cover her naughty bits.
- Long Neck: While walking with Dr. Strit in the hospital hallway, Katie stretches her neck to eavesdrop on Dr. Biaz firing Arnold Plastique.
- Mermaid in a Wheelchair: Selina Gill uses a wheelchair for her on-land dates with her human boyfriend, Arthur Fisher. Katie Elaz and Robert Patrix go on a double date with Selina and Arthur at the restaurant McDaffy's. Her wheelchair has a bucket and water tubes so that her gills can stay wet.
- Our Mermaids Are Different: Mermaids are descendants of the survivors of Atlantis who evolved to adapt to the water.
- Rubber Man: Katie Elaz becomes Rubber Girl after falling in the Elaztixium. The Elaztixium made her skin stretchy and melted her bones.
- Limbella wanted to remain the "Most Flexible Woman in the World" so she swims in the Elaztixium to become as flexible as Rubber Girl.
