Play Places is an ongoing Web Serial Novel centered around three different worlds ^note which are all set in the future.

The first world is essentially a digital world, where everyone works and lives^note well, except the Kems.

The second world is a realistic-nature cage where Kems live.

The third world consists of the virtual games that are addicting for some reason. The first virtual game introduced in the story is Lotusopia! which is magical fantasy, though there are other genres in other virtual worlds^note  and the author said Cyberpunk will be the next destination to be added to the subplots.

Play Places launched in June 2015 and usually updates monthly. It is part of a larger series that spans the world's history^note or rather, its future. The author is M. Alkotob, aka qotob.

This show provides examples of:

• The Metaverse: Everything is implied to be within a simulation except for the Kem cage^note  though that might well be a simulation as well.
• Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game: The Play Places themselves, though some characters choose a different name for the situation.
• Beast Man: The Animal-People called Kems.
• Interspecies Romance: Juri and Lowf.
• Fantastic Nature Reserve: The unknown location where the Kems are kept.
