Omega Guardians
is a Web Original series about a group of super powered teenagers, created by Tobias Christopher. It debuted at www.fictionpress.com in 2011.
Seventeen years ago, the alien Darkheart concocted a plan to create a superpowered army by tainting the water supply of a small town named Underwood, which would cause any expectant (or soon to be expecting) mother to give birth to a child that would one day develop super abilities.
Cut to the current day, where the children of Underwood have started to discover their powers. While some of them are using their powers for evil, a group of teens has banded together to fight the crime that's starting to plague their city. Jesse; Walker; Ace; Sam; Carol; Victoria; and Andy.
Darkheart's ultimate goal is to take control of the growing population of superpowered teens... by any means necessary.
Season 3 will premiere on June 7, 2014.
Omega Guardians contains examples of:
- Absurdly Spacious Sewer: The one in "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" is big enough for several of the Guardians, Kartheiser, and several shadow demons to have a quick brawl.
- Adaptive Ability: Kit's powers allow this, depending on which powers he has at any given time. He can use ice, fire, flight, speed, superstrength, electrical, water, etc. in any given combination depending on which power sets he holds at the time of a fight.
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us: At least twice in the first season, then again in the second.
- Always Save the Girl: Walker is this for Carol Even after she dies in Sacrifice, he still finds a way to save her.
- Ambiguously Gay: Andy and Matt are implied to be this in most of their interactions after Mallrat.

- An Ass-Kicking Christmas: The Santa Ball Z two parter.
- And I Must Scream: Implied to be Tubro's fate after his initial defeat. As of 'Loyalty', this is Matt's current situation, at least until 'Fortress'.
- And the Adventure Continues: The end of season 2 states that while most of the team has moved on, there's still a smaller team of Guardians continuing to watch over Underwood.
- Air-Vent Passageway: In "Family Ties", Andy uses of one of these to get out of the cell in which he's trapped. Cue Die Hard parody.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: When Ace meets the ghostly Will, he orders Andy to get a Bible, some holy water, and a copy of Norbit.
- Ascended Extra: Matt and Carol's twin brothers go from random appearances in Season 1 to becoming full members of the team in the second season.
- Back from the Dead: As of 'Future Tense', Ace
- Bad Ass Normal: Tubro thinks depowering Ace will slow down, and is very quickly proven wrong.
- Bad Guy Bar: Andy ends up briefly working in one when he accidentally destroys a biker gang's motorcycles.
- The Bad Guy Wins: Demononos may have been defeated, but His Soul Jar Scotty's left in a coma and doesn't seem to be coming out of it anytime soon.
- The first season finale, which finds Ace dead, the Guardians banished and Andy being in store for a lifetime of torment as Darkheart's personal human battery.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Jax's powers always end up like this. Luckily being a somewhat honest genie, he tends to warns his masters beforehand if he likes them enough.
- Beta Couple: Sam and Scotty to Walker and Carol.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Everyone on the team, especially Andy.
- Big Eater: Andy is shown to be this in 'Good Will Haunting'
- Bittersweet Ending: In Sideshow, Leo's love interest of the episode sacrifices herself to save him and his friends. She ends up being sort of alive at the end of the episode, although Leo is totally unaware
- The S2 finale. Carol and her baby are alive, Burdette is defeated, but Walker and Andy are dead, Andy's killer has successfully pinned the deed on someone else, and most of the Guardians end up going their own ways.
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: Anything that Ace makes in home-ec falls into this.
- Break the Cutie: Andy, starting with the first episode and doesn't let up until the season finale. Then it gets worse. Also applies to Matt and Leo, both of whom become Broken Birds by the end of the second season.
- Big Damn Heroes: Kit pulls one of these in "All Fall Down, Part Two". Then again in "Dodger".
- Bloody Hilarious: Leo's rescue of some campers from a pair of werewolves results in this.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Leo does this in 'Luck of the Amish' during Charlie's flashback, remembering that the last time someone had one was "Last season".
- The Cavalry: A whopping three times in 'Dodger', one time being for the villains.
- Character Development: The middle portion of Season 2 gives origin stories to several of the newer members.
- Chekhov's Exhibit: What kicks off the plot of 'The Mask of Medusa'.
- Children Are Innocent: Played straight with Leo in the first season, and is starting to be subverted in Season 2 when he starts wielding a double bladed scythe in 'Chiller'.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Jesse keeps pushing himself harder and harder to make his father proud, who died on 9/11.
- Clothing Damage: Jesse's body is fireproof. His clothes, however, take a lot of damage.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Ace, and he seems to be rubbing off on Andy.
- Crazy-Prepared: Sam, who qualifies when he doesn't even have his gadgets to fall back on.'"Did you bring a calculator to gym class?"'
- Darker and Edgier: The second season, especially in the second half when Burdette's plans start getting downright brutal, up to and including Cutting out Bart's eye, blowing up the Guardian's base and killing Brandon.
- A Day in the Limelight: Charlie, Morgan, and Leo all get one in the middle of season 2.
- Doomed Hometown: Underwood at the end of the first season. Thanks to a Time Skip, it was as good as new by the second episode Season 2.
- Downer Ending: The first season finale.
- "Babysitters From the Dark Dimension", which is just the start of the horrible things in store for the Collins Twins.
- Eye Scream: Bart gets this after Burdette kidnaps him to lure Wally and Walker into a trap
- Fate Worse than Death: What Darkheart had planned for Andy after the siege of Underwood.
- Forced Transformation: Mark, who was mutated into a wolf towards the end of Season 1. Morgan and Spencer's powers seem to have them stuck halfway between this and their human forms.
- Foreshadowing: It's hinted at throughout the early episodes that Andy was designed to be a cog in Darkheart's overall plan. Then we get to "All Fall Down"...
- Free-Range Children: So far only Sam and Charlie's fathers have taken an active role in what their kids are doing around the city, even though it's indicated in Season 2 that a good portion of the team are now well over 18.
- Genius Ditz: In less than a year of returning after being Put on a Bus (after being MIA for a good two and a half years beforehand), Ace manages to get his G.E.D. and get into college.
- Girl Posse: "The Cheerleader Revenge Squad"
- Grand Theft Me: Demonos does this to Scotty. His on again/off again boyfriend Sam doesn't take this well. At all.
- Heroes Unlimited: 'United' shows that the Guardians have expanded their ranks to over twenty members.
- Heroic BSoD: Jesse suffers one of these in "Cheerleader Revenge Squad".
- Heroic Sacrifice: Brandon in "Doomsday".
- High-School Dance: "Vampire Diaries of a Wimpy Kid" has a Halloween Dance where a lot of the action takes place.
- Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: Cassiday does this to a few Guardians in 'Hunted'.
- Jerk Jock: Carol's boyfriend Nick in Season 1, and Jason from the episode "Mind Games".
- Legacy Hero: Chad, who never had a codename, is replaced by the more powerful water based Matt three years after his disappearance.
- Lethal Chef: Ace seems to be one of these. He actually gets disappointed when someone can't tell how bad his cooking is.
- Mind Rape: Prometheus's specialty. Sam, even though he has no such powers, was guilty of this as well when he forced Prometheus to wipe the memories of the entire city to forget the hell Darkheart has put them through at the end of Season 1.
- Mood Whiplash: 'Babysitters From the Dark Dimension' starts off as a light filler episode... and ends with Mark being mutated into a wolf, a change that remains throughout the next season, and into the third.
- Noodle Incident: Leo defeating Count Dracula and aquiring the scythe that he wields throughout Season 2.
- The initial defeat of Dracula is a plot point of the Season 3 premiere.
- Not Blood Siblings: Ace and Andy. Ace treats him as if Andy's been his brother their whole lives.
- Pet the Dog: At the start of the series, Carol's attitude toward Walker is as icy as Ace's powers, but by "Vampire Diaries of a Wimpy Kid" She seems to be coming around.
- Playing Both Sides: Malachi attempts this with Kit's team, but fails in the end. At least until he returns a few episodes later...
- Puppy-Dog Eyes
- Put on a Bus: Matt spent most of S2 offscreen thanks to Kit's attempts to remove him as Andy's best friend, but The Bus Came Back in time for the final two episodes, only for Matt to re-board the bus to leave again immediately after Andy's death.
- Rich Bitch: Victoria. Although she's still a good friend to her teammates.
- Rule of Funny: A lot of Season 1's comedic moments operated by this. Season 2 seems to be cutting back on the random humor.
- Running Gag: Ace's fondness for creating ice squirrels throughout most of the first season.
- Sharing a Body: Demonos and Scotty. Although Demonos finds it nearly impossible completely drive him out, due to the power of love.
- Teen Genius: Sam.
- Time Skip: Six months pass between the season 1 finale and the season 2 premiere. Then two years pass between the end of the S2 premiere and the second episode.
- Time Travel: How Ace makes his grand return.
- Tomboyand Girly Girl: Carol and Victoria.
- Took a Level in Badass: Andy does this in Season 2's "Rebellion", much to the dismay of his friends, who end up on the business end of Andy's wrath. Leo also seems to be headed in direction of 'Chiller'.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Both Jesse and Andy seem to have fallen into this in Season 2, although both seem to get better in the second half of the season.
- Transparent Closet: Malachi does everything but outright state that he wants Andy as more than just a partner to use against Kit.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: Burdette to Tubro, until the former kills the latter in a power grab.
- Wham Episode: "Babysitters From the Dark Dimension". See Mood Whiplash
- Wham Line: Will pulls one on Andy at the end of 'Toxic'. "Andy, what are you talking about? Ace isn't dead."
- Wouldn't Hit a Girl: Averted. Both Carol and Victoria have both been attacked with the intent to harm in a few episodes.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Andy's dog, Sawa, disappears without a trace at the end of 'Rebellion'. There's still no mention of him twenty episodes later when Andy returns to the group.
- Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: Mouse. He makes it clear it's just a nickname (his real name being Colin), but was given the name at birth.
