Literature / My Entire Class Was Summoned To Another World Except For Me

Go To

A god of a different world had abruptly appeared in my classroom and semi-forcibly summoned the entire class to his world— except for me, Kamiya Yato.

Because I was taking a seat in the corner of the class, the round summoning magic circle didn’t reach me and I ended up staying here on earth but with new skills. After I made it through a whole year full of police interviews and journalism reports, I finally graduated to my first year of high school.

This Light Novel contains the following tropes:

  • Bad Boss: Metron proves to be this; preferring to sacrifice one of his loyal subordinates if it means having Yato killed.
  • Big Brother Attraction: Ever since he defended her from bullies when they were younger, Karen has had it bad for Yato.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Yato has zero tolerance on anyone trying to hit on or bully Karen. When that happens, be sure to expect a bloodbath.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Eversince gaining his abilities, Yato spends much of his entire time at school, sleeping.
  • Canine Companion: Rouga is a Silver Wolf which Yato tamed to be his familiar.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Yato keeps attracting love interests and seems to have no idea that any of them are, in fact, interested in him romantically. This isn't helped by each of them getting along rather than fighting over him.
  • Failure Hero: Yato's classmates are this. While they are training to develop their magic and skills, the Gods feel it isn't enough which is why they try to get Yato. That is until they find out how exactly powerful Yato is.
  • God Is Inept: It's Metron's incompetence that monsters are pouring onto Earth.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: A few of Karen's classmates in school despise her for attracting the attention of the boys hence their bullying of her.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager: Karen's bullies seem entirely motivated by getting boys attracted to them.
  • Invincible Hero: Yato is this, having developed his abilities so well that he can go up against the Gods. It's because of this the Gods want him dead, otherwise he might one day overthrow them.
  • It Only Works Once: Thanks to an ability that supercharges his skill growth, anything that can actually impede Yato significantly only serves to jack up his resistance to it until it no longer affects him.
  • Opinion Flip Flop: The instant that Karen's bullies see how attractive her older brother Yato is (or rather, realize that the mysterious attractive guy is her older brother), they decide to apologize and become Karen's best friends.
  • Not Blood Siblings: Yato and Karen.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Sayaka once attended a different school but a creepy classmate relentlessly pursues her resulting in her moving to her current school.
  • Stock Light-Novel Hero: Parodied. Yato looks as though he will be a stereotypical Isekai Hero, except he is the only one of his class who did not get summoned over. For his trouble, he does get powers though.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Not that his ability to create any skill he wants isn't already OP enough, but the first skill he creates allows him to gain experience in his sleep . He is able to become more powerful than anyone in his class by literally do nothing.
  • Trapped in Another World: Subverted for Yato. The summoning magic transported everyone but him because he was not within the magic's range.
  • Yandere: Sayaka's stalker is a male version who would torment anyone who got close to Sayaka regardless of gender while showering her with creepily possessive attention. When Yato convinces Sayaka to stand up to the guy, his first response is to try and murder Yato to remove him as a rival.
