"A story with lots of references to something. You should be able to figure out what this 'something' is."
—a young Webquail providing a summary of his story

Legend of Arithia was a Web Serial Novel written by a 15 year-old Webquail under the name RoosterHat. The story centers around 15 year old Phoenix Beckett as he attempts to remove the evil Stelios from the Arithian Throne. The story draws heavily from The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy.

The story was 6 chapters in before being abandoned. It can be found on FictionPress here.

This work provides examples of:

  • Gotta Catch Them All: Inverted. The Four Crests need to be found and then placed in an altar to do anything.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Phoenix himself. He's a steamboat captain's apprentice, and his last name is Beckett. Hmm...
    • The towns (With the exception of Corphus, and of course, Arithia City) are named after minor characters in Zelda, such as Gentari (One of the Minish Elders) and Pashli (A Rito on Dragon Roost Island).
    • Princess Midona is named after the French translation of Midna's name.
    • Orionas, the mysterious...thing uncovered by Phoenix on Mt. Glaceu. It's basically meant as a Shout-Out to Jenova of Final Fantasy VII fame.
