The Defenders Trilogy is a three-part romance/action story by MP13Girl published in 2013 on Wattpad. The trilogy follows Violet, an orphan who suddenly finds herself being thrust into the world of superhumans when she's recruited into the Defensive Affairs Unit, an organization in which superhumans are trained to protect the planet. She is placed on a team where each member is significantly different, and the five of them have to learn how to get along.
The three novels within the trilogy are named Defenders, Offenders, and Enders.
The first of the trilogy can be found here.
Defenders/Offenders/Enders contains examples of:
- Acrophobic Bird: Violet seems to forget that she can fly sometimes.
- Action Insurance Gag: After Dex and Violet fight inside of the DAU and blast through a wall, Hank and Nay inform them that fixing it isn't a problem.
- Adrenaline Makeover: Violet.
- After Action Patch Up
- Bad Guy Bar: Redrum, probably.
- Band of Brothers: Any team that has so far been mentioned, besides maybe VAKAD.
- Casual Danger Dialogue: Aiden really likes to use cheesy lines when in a fight.
- Catch a Falling Star: Violet, except she rescues herself by finding out she can fly.
- The Cavalry: Hank and Nay, usually. At one point even Lena, and another time, Dex.
- The Cavalry Arrives Late: The characters are rarely saved before finding out some piece of information.
- Cloak and Dagger: The DAU.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Violet and Colton.
- Cycleof Revenge: Damien Black's followers plan to go after the loved ones of the people who killed their leader.
- Government Agency of Fiction: The DAU.
- Heroes "R" Us: Literally the DAU.
- Just Between You and Me: Redrum members sure do like to talk.
- Misfit Mobilization Moment: I mean, VAKAD.
- Mission Briefing: Probably Hank and Nay's least favorite thing due to the complaints they receive in return.
- Nebulous Evil Organisation: Redrum.
- Rooftop Confrontation: Multiple, in the first book.
- Traintop Battle: In Enders, though not exactly on top of the train, but in an open cart instead.
