Imagine finding out you were adopted. Now imagine finding out that your birth parents are some kind of supernatural species, and that you are the only thing protecting the society you grew up in from the whims the supernatural world.

- Distracted by the Sexy: Amanda and Amadeus’ main line of defence.
- Go Through Me: Aella tell the mormuca in Changeling Masquerade to do this if they want to get to Dominic. They don’t really care, seeing as they want her dead at least as much as they do Dominic, but they are intimidated by the fact that she doesn’t seem to mind if they kill her, because she is certain she could take them with her. Then Dominic recovers enough to enter the mix and try to do the same for her.
- Murder the Hypotenuse: Moira decides this is probably the best way of winning Felix back from Dominic.
- Not Distracted by the Sexy: The rest of the changelings of Selene Manor have grown fairly immune to the twins’ charms, especially Dominic and Alec.
- Oblivious to Love: Aishling, to Alec’s great frustration.
- Samus Is a Girl: The rogue vampire is a pretty redhead called Moira.
- Single-Target Sexuality: Dominic can’t really be defined as either homo- or bisexual, because he is solely interested in Felix.
- The Tease: Melodie. She enjoys the effect her beauty can have on men, despite being exclusively lesbian.
