Order of Knights Book is the second Black Clover light novel written by series creator Yuki Tabata and illustrated by Johnny Onda. It was released in Japan on October 4, 2017.

The first chapter details the Black Bulls' hijinks when Noelle breaks Yami's figurine. Together, they perform rituals needed for a magic vase to fix it. The second chapter describes Asta's enrollment at Golden Dawn for the day, prior to the Underwater Temple Arc. There, he meets the squad's members before they are deployed to defend Kiten against the Diamond Kingdom. The third chapter features Magna and Luck exploring a dungeon to find a cure for Asta's cursed arms, after the Underwater Temple Arc. In the dungeon, they meet a girl named Morgan and fight against monsters to find the treasure room. The fourth chapter features the Magic Knight Squads' Captains' dinner party hosted by Julius. Soon after the dinner begins, they are deployed to fight against golems.

Order of Knights Book provides examples of:

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Asta suffers this among the elitist Golden Dawn when he joins them for a day. They talk behind his back about him getting cocky for being awarded a star.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: Asta does this to Gris, a Golden Dawn member angry at Asta and Yuno's power in spite of his noble background and hard work. He tells him to look at what he has and train harder instead of being jealous.
  • Bash Brothers: The third chapter details Magna and Luck, who are referred to as the Black Bulls' "Special Assault Duo", exploring a dungeon together.
  • Broken Treasure: Noelle breaks Yami's figure of the first Wizard King, which he intended to gift to Fuegoleon took him a week to make. The Black Bulls tru to repair it using a magic vase.
  • Call-Back: The Black Bulls use a vase to fix the figurine that was bought from Dominante, a character in the previous light novel.
  • Combination Attack: Magna and Luck unleash quite a few of these together in the dungeon against monsters like the golem.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: In the end of the first chapter it's revealed that the figurine is a magic tool that returns to its original form. As Yami puts it, Noelle didn't break it to begin with.
  • Day in the Limelight:
    • Chapter 3 focuses on Magna and Luck exploring a dungeon together.
    • Chapter 4 is centered on Yami at a dinner party with the fellow captains.
  • Dead All Along: The end of the third chapter reveals that Morgan is a ghost who was killed by the Golem.
  • Dungeon Crawling: Magna and Luck explore a dungeon hoping to find a cure for Asta's arms. They meet a peasant girl named Morgan, who's been doing this to make maps to sell to Magic Knights to support her sickly mother.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Julius's intentional absence, the captains do end up bonding when they fight the golems from the dungeon together.
  • Lethal Chef: One of the strange rituals required by the vase to repair Yami's figurine has Noelle cook, and she shows that she's a terrible chef.
  • Tastes Like Friendship: Julius hosts a dinner for the captains to become friends. Nozel refuses once he finds out and immediately wants to go home.
  • Underestimating Badassery: The Golden Dawn members are surprised at Asta's power with his giant anti-magic sword, able to shatter stone.
