"Jo, Olivia, Zach, and Ace are normal students at their high school when an act of vandalism turns everything upside down. The mysterious entity known as “The Bagel” is terrorizing the school, and the school is dumbfounded. Our heroes take matters into their own hands and create “The Bagel Investigators.” But can they succeed when every powerful enemy is pulling strings in the background?"
— Summary of Book One on the website.

Books 1 ("Pastry Origins") and 2 ("Poisoned Love") are available here
Books 3 ("The Bagel Returns"), 4, 5, and 6 are due to be released at an unknown time.
The Bagel Investigators contains examples of:
- Absurdly Powerful Student Council: The Student Council is powerful enough to organize a large riot against the Bagel Investigators. It doesn't stop them from being Big Bad Wannabe, though.
- In-Universe, it's argued (by the Student Council themselves) that the Bagel Investigators act like this.
- Alliterative Name: Bob the Bagel.
- Been There, Shaped History: This is implied for Bob and Margerie.
- Big Bad: Bob, the titular Bagel.
- Big Bad Ensemble: Bob as Big Bad and Lacy as The Starscream for the first book, The Student Council as Big Bad Wannabe and Lacy as the Big Bad for the second book.
- Big Bad Wannabe: The Student Council and their supporters. They're stopped within the space of a chapter in Poisoned Love.
- Big Good: Margerie.
- Conlang: The Rosquilite language, used by Rosquilite characters and their followers.
- Cerebus Syndrome: The first book was a serious but light-hearted fantasy/mystery romp. The second book starts with one of the main characters being murdered by the villain. The villain is entirely serious with absolutely no comedy personally attached. At the end, the villain commits suicide a la Voldemort.
- The Chessmaster: Lacy manipulates both sides to get what she wants.
- The Chosen One: There are ten.
- Elemental Powers: Those of the Chosen Ones as well as Rosquilites:
- Playing with Fire: Ace
- Making a Splash: Alex
- Shock and Awe: Blade
- Pure Energy: Jo
- This is also both Bob and Margerie's go-to move.
- An Ice Person: Zach
- Animorphism: Olivia
- Rosquilites can do this as well, except they turn into bagels.
- Blow You Away: No known chosen ones yet, but Margerie uses this to great effect.
- Genre Shift: From mystery to fantasy halfway through the first book.
- The Good, the Bad, and the Evil: In the second book, the Bagel Investigators are the Good, the Student Council and their supporters are the Bad, and Lacy is the Evil.
- Foreign Cuss Word: Bob lets out several in the Rosquilite Conlang.
- He Who Fights Monsters: In-Universe, it's argued that the Bagel Investigators have become this after the events of Pastry Origins, but the argument is shaky at best.
- Hollywood Hacking: The Bagel Investigators engage in this for a chapter with Bob and Lacy. Notably, the terms are all actual computer science terms, but the execution is entirely Hand Wave.
- Immortality Begins at Twenty: Or rather, 16. Both Bob and Margerie look like high school students despite being hundreds of years old.
- Knight of Cerebus: Lacy. See Cerebus Syndrome.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Bob is sealed in an actual jar by the Bagel Investigators at the end of Book One.
- Also what happened to Jared.
- Sealed Good in a Can: Margerie until partway through Book One.
- The Starscream: Lacy.
- Universal-Adaptor Cast: Not in this series, but the same set of characters and some of the same concepts play out an entirely different scenario in Team C Studios Adventure.
- Whole-Plot Reference: Book Two is one to Yandere Simulator. Lacy plays the role of Yandere-Chan, Ace is Senpai, Kera and Emma are the rivals, and the Voice on the Phone plays the role of Info-Chan.
- Yandere: Lacy.
