is a 2016 self-published novel by then-high school senior Adam Gratteau. It takes place After the End.
Contains examples of:
- Card-Carrying Villain: Dr. Edgar Malbarn, who describes himself as "sick, deranged, sadistic, and insane", and loves every second of it. He also admits that he Loves the Sound of Screaming.
- Cybernetics Eat Your Soul: Averted: Jon and Yui just become more badass, while Malbarn was a sadistic psychopath even before he got his cybernetic arm.
- Inhuman Eye Concealers: Adam has an eye completely made up of pulsing energy as a result of the experiments that turned him half-Reaper. To hide this and blend in, he wears an eye patch, though his power allows him to see through the covering.
- Mad Doctor/Mad Scientist: Malbarn, oh so much.
- Off with His Head!: Jon punches Malbarn so hard that his head flies off.
