Arcane Advent is a new Urban Fantasy series of media that covers the life of mages—people who can manipulate the world through the use of Magick—with the first Trilogy centered around a Runic Mage named Leidolf. The series begins with the destruction of a city under a crimson moon. Through constant battles against Familiars, he rescues the only other living survivor and sets off to end the nightmare. The second volume, introduces an organization of magical mercenaries and expands on the world.

- Abnormal Ammo: Leidolf's master used enchanted revolvers that fired glass-like bullets filled with crushed stones.
- A Child Shall Lead Them: The Leader of Hollow is a young girl who inherited the position after her father's death.
- An Ice Person: Leidolf actually has an Ice-Darkness affinity. He couldn't use it until after he gained the grimoire.
- Blood Magic: Leidolf's magick style uses his to link and enchant objects and talismans.
- Casting a Shadow: Leidolf's secondary element is Darkness.
- Cool Sword: Tyrfing—not that one, but a modified replica—which can use the Sword Beam.
- Combat Pragmatist: Leidolf will fight dirty as hell, especially if he's defending someone else. As he puts it, at the end of the day he'll still be the one alive.
- Dead Person Conversation: Leidolf, after nearly dying, speaks with the souls of Aria's parents and Scion's friends.
- The Dragon: Armel's master was the one who planned the entire thing.
- Gratuitous Latin: Members of the Church use Latin for their arts.
- I'm Not a Hero, I'm...: Leidolf holds Heroes to extremely high standards, stating he wasn't and never could be a hero, despite his actions.
- Instant Sedation: Leidolf uses Nocturne's Tear pollen to K.O two enemies in order to steal from them.
- Invocation: Mages can fire off spells by invocating them out loud or mentally.
- Kick Them While They Are Down: Leidolf does this until he was sure the Guardian of Wind was dead.
- Kill It with Fire: Fire is one of the most used elements for a reason.
- Magical Incantation: Reciting a full incantation is need to access 100% of a spell's power. Weaker spells an skip to Invocation, but higher-tier spells that aren't pre-set require them.
- Magic Wand: Most mages, if not all, use something to help cast spells. Leidolf uses fingerless gloves for his spells.
- Necromancer: Acario uses the grimoire to raise Draugar, which are basically super zombies with the strength to match.
- Off with His Head!: Armel's final fate at the end of the first volume. He Got Better
- Paper Talisman: Fai uses Shenfu for his spells.
- Playing with Fire: Fai, Kai, and Leidolf.
- Rescue Romance: Scion wanted this, but the timing was bad at first. They have a relationship after the second volume.
- Single-Target Sexuality: Scion towards Leidolf.
- Telepathy: The Supervisor is a Lectormens which is basically the Superpower Lottery of mental abilities and difficult to master, but she's a prodigy for her skill in it. She uses them to surf through Leidolf's Memories, pull his consciousness from the grimoire's influence, and set up mental blocks to help him fight the influence. She practices Mind over Manners but Leidolf still has trust issues from their initial encounter, although he lightens up after some time passes.
- Leidolf refers to her as a mind-reader on magical steroids to get the point across.
- Tome of Eldritch Lore: Grdskinn, a grimoire written by Galdra-Louptur it is an amalgam of negative and dark powers and spells, capable of raising the dead among other things.
