In-Universe, Nega-Rush are the evil counterparts to those three Canadian guys, consisting of Worf Sloth, Lexy Deathdaughter, and Al Rubee. In real life, however, they are a Fake Band created by Loads And Loads Of Free Time as a Self-Imposed Challenge to write an Opposite Day counterpart to one of his favorite bands of all time. Others are allowed to expand on this strange idea, or even use them in their articles, even without LaLoFT's explicit permission. Maybe even make Nega-versions of other bands, I dunno.
Tropes:
- Affably Evil
- Affectionate Parody
- Canada Does Not Exist: Their ultimate Evil Plan is to invoke this trope by merging Canada with the United States.
- Dumb and Drummer: Al Rubee, often considered the worst drummer ever.
- Evil Knockoff: They are actually robots built by The Tragically Hip in order to seize Rush's status as the most successful Canadian band.
- Gender-Blender Name: Worf and Al.
- Girl Group
- Quirky Work: Even moreso than the real deals.
- Miniscule Rocking: "3223" is a 30-second long tune about the benefits of selling out.
- Uncommon Time: Unsurprisingly defied, as all of their songs are in 4/4.
