Disney Battle Bash is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover Platform Fighter created by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Sora Ltd. and Toys For Bob and released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam. This is the first time Masahiro Sakurai made a Super Smash Bros. clone and one of his only few works not limited to a Nintendo console.
This Mascot Fighter allows you to pit characters from series that are part of The Disney Afternoon, One Saturday Morning and ABC Kids, Disney Channel and Disney XD original animated shows- If there's a series made by Disney Television Animation, it'll be represented for you to play.
The game is set in Toontown, and while it is a peaceful world where all Disney cartoons live in peace, for the first time, Scrooge McDuck has invited a lot of its inhabitants to partake in the first annual "Battle of the Toons" tournament, where every four years, the winner gets the notoriety and fame. This, unfortunately, brought the ire of the bad guys, who want the victory for their selfish deeds. Since there's no rule that limits the battle to just residents, it's technically a free for all.

Like with Smash, the game's controls are also simple, so people used to the Super Smash Bros games will feel at home here. This unlikely combination of both Disney cartoons and Smash Bros quality gameplay (As well as its overnight popularity) have found itself being featured in EVO 2022, to much acclaim and excitement. The game itself also uses rollback netcode for better online play as well as cross play with each other's platforms. And every cutscene in the game is fully animated from the company itself through different animation studios that were involved in the shows that are participating in the game.
The game came out in Christmas Day 2021, but unlike other games, is NOT Christmas Rushed.

- Announcer Chatter: In addition to the normal announcer that declares simple fighting game terms, a second, female announcer adds color commentary to the match. On the title screen, both the male and female announcer do a Title Drop on the title screen. The male announcer also says stuff like "A new character has been unlocked!" or "Thank you for playing!"
- Anti-Rage Quitting: The game will mark someone who disconnects themselves in an online match as "having bad connection" and will get lumped with the players who actually have bad connections.
- Badass Normal: A LOT. Having TJ and his crew go against the likes of King Andrias and Darcy, for one example? They can, without any problems.
- The Cameo: Anyone who's not in the roster will show up in the stage or ending cutscenes.
- Charged Attack: Some characters will do this.
- Cool Versus Awesome: The point of having your fave Disney Television Animation characters going at it.
- Dream Match Game: Of the Disney TV Animation variety. Want to see Anne Boonchuy fight Luz Noceda? Possible here. Or how about the titular Pepper Ann and Star Butterfly team up against Bill Cipher and Dr. Drakken? That can happen here too!
- Dual Boss: The final battle will pit you against Bill Cipher (Finale version) and The Collector. Try to survive!
- Let's You and Him Fight: In a fun way. Every Disney Character is in it for the big prize, hero and villain alike. It's a Disney game, after all.

- Shout-Out: The exclusivity of the Kiff and Hailey's On It! characters being similar to how Darth Vader and Yoda was in SoulCalibur IV. The catch is each of them are playable from the start exclusively on one console (The Hailey's On It characters on Playstation consoles and the Kiff duo on Switch) and are paid Downloadable Content on the other. However, Steam players get both, but only as preorder DLC.
