Alabama Man is a 1999 toy from South Park. Alabama Man is a man from Alabama who spends most of his time at the bowling alley, smoking and drinking. The toy was made to combat Chinpokomon, which is itself a parody of Pokémon.
Alabama Man drinks, smokes, sleeps it off, and contains examples of:
- The Alcoholic: Alabama Man spends a large amount of time drinking.
- The Cameo:
- Alabama Man appears in a toy catalog in Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery.
- The Alabama Man action figure also appears as junk in South Park: The Stick of Truth.
- Deep South: Alabama Man's world is this, with him wasting his life and beating his wife.
- Good Ol' Boy: Alabama Man does what he believes is the right thing to do, and doesn't care who it hurts.
- Hated by All: When the boys and Butters were pulled out as test audiences to the Alabama Man commercial, all of them had negative reactions, with Cartman and Stan calling it gay.
- Smoking Is Not Cool: As it's pointed out, Alabama Man has issues, and one of these is smoking.
- Street Smart: He cares more for physical strength than intellect and book smarts.
- This Is a Work of Fiction: A quick quiet voice at the end states that not all people from Alabama are wife beaters.
- Would Hit a Girl: Alabama Man has no problem beating his wife whenever she asks where he's been.
