Given the complete immorality of the entire Family Guy cast, it's pretty much granted that any character that tries to pose themselves as The Straight Man will end up looking like this.
- Bonnie is willing to cheat on Joe yet becomes angry when he cheats on her only once.
- Brian Griffin has a nasty tendency to be a huge hypocrite.
- In "Quagmire's Mom", he calls out Quagmire for blaming all his problems on his mother. While he isn't wrong, this is still coming from someone who refuses to accept his own failings in both his romantic and literary pursuits, constantly blaming others for them.
- In "Family Guy Lite", he had no problem using what he read in what he thought was a list of qualities Lois wanted in her ideal man to try and seduce her into cheating on Peter. But when it looked like she was having an affair with someone else, he begged her not to do it, claiming she would be betraying Peter.
- In "Peterminator", he accuses Stewie of being in love with himself. Brian himself is a major Narcissist, to the point of sleeping with the robot double of himself in "Bri, Robot".
- In "Brian & Stewie", it is a well-established fact that Brian is a left-wing, gun-grabbing liberal stereotype. Stewie questions why Brian keeps a gun in his safety deposit box; Brian admits to having it in case he ever contemplates suicide. This is extremely hypocritical of Brian because he believes in strict gun control laws, which include restrictions that do not allow the mentally ill or people who are a major risk for self-harm or suicide to possess firearms, which would include Brian himself. This is essentially a continuation of Brian's most common hypocritical trait of not following laws, morals, rules, or policies that he would enforce on others.
- In "Short Cuts", while ranting over being kicked out of Mort's pharmacy just for being a dog, he claims it's discrimination, comparing it to what happened with "those blacks" at the Starbucks. Stewie is noticeably unnerved by Brian's choice of words.
- In "Play it Again, Brian," he talks about how Peter doesn't deserve Lois (due to Peter paying Lois back with selfishness and neglect despite Lois being so giving towards him). While what Brian said was true, you have to remember that Brian had some good ex-girlfriends that he didn't deserve either due to faults of his own (with Rita being a good example because Brian repaid Rita by cheating on her when Rita was nothing but good to him).
- In "Boy (Dog) Meets Girl (Dog)", Brian was desperate to win the dog show just so he could breed with Ellie, yet in "Brian: Portrait of a Dog", he refused to do dog tricks in another dog show because he felt that certain dog tricks were demeaning, even though the prize money could have bought the family a new air conditioner, which they needed. This just proves that Brian thinks that it's wrong for people to engage in demeaning acts, but it's okay for people to engage in said acts for their own personal benefit.
- Glenn Quagmire
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech he delivered to Brian is riddled with this:
- One of his complaints about Brian is how he constantly hits on Lois, his best friend's wife, which Quagmire has done for years as well. The difference is that Brian at least believes she deserves to be with someone who respects her, while Quagmire just wanted to have sex with her. Additionally, Quagmire's lust for her is even more toxic with how he's been shown to harbor some of Lois' hair and has even gone as far as to dig through the Griffins' garbage for some of her toenails.
- He says "How's that son of yours you never see?" in reference to Brian's failure as Dylan's father. Quagmire himself encountered several children that resembled him in "Tales of a Third Grade Nothing" and promptly ran away. He also gave his daughter Anna Lee for adoption, while Dylan himself chose to leave Brian in order to take care of his mother. Brian would also go on to see Dylan again in "Brian's a Bad Father", though admittedly he has selfish intentions to do so and honestly was keeping Dylan at an arm's length before in the episode, while Quagmire has never returned to any of his offspring.
- Despite saying he "admits his problems", "Quagmire's Mom" reveals he actually blames them all on how his mother raised him. For the sake of Irony (and a dash of Laser-Guided Karma), Brian is the one who calls him out on it. Quagmire's retaliation is that an Atheist shouldn't support a Christian like his mother, another ethic he called Brian out on.
- In "Peter-assment", Quagmire tells Peter that if he doesn't have sex with his (female) boss, he's gay. When Peter tries to get Quagmire to have sex with her later, the latter says no, simply because she is "ugly". Likewise, he calls Peter out at the end for (supposedly) going through with the affair, when again, he said not doing it makes him gay.
- A deleted scene from "And I'm Joyce Kinney" has him disgusted over the fact that he lives next door to Lois when her past of being a former porn star is revealed. This despite him being a registered sex offender who had been lusting after her beforehand.
- In "The Giggity Wife", he gets into a drunken Accidental Marriage with an older, washed-up Streetwalker named Charmise. He's disgusted by her sexual past, yet he has slept with thousands of girls and women, and continues to do so after that marriage ended.
- In "The Heartbreak Dog", Quagmire is one of several characters that chews Brian out for having an affair with Bonnie, despite him previously causing an affair of his own between Cleveland and Loretta. He has also tricked Joe into letting him have sex with Bonnie.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech he delivered to Brian is riddled with this:

- She criticizes Peter for drinking all night and does it herself just because of a curfew.
- Lois criticizes Brian for smoking pot, despite enjoying the drug herself in "Deep Throats". She also chastises Chris for vaping, despite being a smoker herself.
- She makes fun of Brian for dating Dumb Blonde Jillian, yet she's married to Peter, a Fat Idiot Manchild with an IQ sub-80.
- She gets jealous at Peter being around other women, but hangs around with other men herself, such as Ross Fishman (an old boyfriend of hers), a random Italian guy in "Boopa-Dee Bappa-Dee", and Larry, one of Peter's surrogate children in "A House Full of Peters". She also often flirts with other men, and even made out with Meg's boyfriend.
- She criticizes Meg for her supposed homeliness even though they look almost exactly the same, with the only real physical differences being that Lois is red-headed and slightly taller and slimmer. She also forbids and refuses to pay for laser-eye surgery for her but immediately gets it for herself as soon as her own eyesight starts waning.
- She criticizes Bonnie in "Foreign Affairs" for wanting to have an affair, even though she's cheated on Peter multiple times both before and afterwards (mostly in background events or cutaways which are of questionable continuity, but still).
- She criticizes Brenda from the "Screams of Silence" episode for being submissive towards Jeff, ignoring the fact that she herself is often submissive towards Peter, who mistreats both her and her children. Not to mention how she herself has forced Peter and others to be submissive to her.
- Peter Griffin:
- He sometimes calls out other people on the bad stuff they did, even though he's way more guilty than they are of committing the same crime. For example, in "Stewie Loves Lois", he sued Dr. Hartman because he thought he molested him, this was after he attempted to grope his wife (he ended up touching Stewie instead).
- He tells Brian that Jillian was "dumber than Lou Ferrigno," but Peter himself is an idiot as well.
- While Peter was right to lambast Brian on how the latter has issues maintaining healthy relationships with the women that he dates, this is still hypocritical since Peter himself doesn't like to put in any effort to maintain a good marriage with Lois (despite Lois doing nothing but being giving as Brian points out).
