Hidden Depths / Syngenesophobia

Go To

Syngenesophobia gives further Hidden Depths to The Loud House characters, mostly based on the siblings' sessions with Dr. Lopez.

Loud Family

Lori Loud

  • Lori doesn't like to act like a Big Sister Bully, but thinks that it's the only way to keep the house from falling apart when her parents aren't here. She fears that her siblings may grow to hate (or at the very least resent) her because of the way she acts and wishes that she could allow herself to act nicer with them.

Lisa Loud

  • Lisa suffers from Intelligence Equals Isolation far more than she lets on. She reveals that she hates how her intelligence alienates her from the rest of her family and wishes she was more "normal". She even fears that she is a sociopath because of the way she acts.

Leni Loud

  • Leni actually isn't dumb, but needs to take her pills. When she actually takes her medication, she's aware of how dumb she acts without it and hates herself for it.

Luan Loud

  • Luan going all overboard with her pranks on April Fools day stems from the bullying and teasing she received in elementary school, and her bottled up desire to get back at them. But since they are out of her reach, she uses her family members as a substitute instead.

Lynn Loud

  • Lynn's rough treatment of Lincoln actually comes from two very bittersweet sources. Her trying to initiate play fights and sports playing with him is trying to recapture the close relationship they had when they were little and her being so rough with him is trying to toughen him up so he can stand against bullies; she even outright terrified Ronnie over the younger girl's Loving Bully tactics.

Lola Loud

  • Lola is well-aware that pretty much everyone around her thinks she's a total brat and that she's let her ego go to her head and while she's deeply saddened that she can't seem to make friends, she also believes she's too far gone to stop.

Lucy Loud

  • Lucy is actually very lonely and hurt that not even her roommate or beloved older brother are immune to ignoring her existence.

Lincoln Loud

  • Even before his beating, Lincoln's relationships with his sisters was already strained due to their teasing, bullying, and taking him for granted. Lincoln kept trying to interfere with the protocol despite being told not to, because he was afraid it would mean his sisters would no longer need him to help them.
  • Deconstruction later on as Lincoln confides that he feels his plans always fail because he doesn't take into account more about the girls than how they typically act as though there was nothing more to them than what's on the surface. Lynn fires back saying they never really understood him either. They never really appreciated that he was a boy instead of just another sibling, who would have different thoughts and feelings than any of his sisters.
  • When Lincoln stops trying to be like his sisters and tries to find out what 'he' is good at, he discovers he has quite a bit of artistic talent. He equates his skill level to someone with a year's practice. His art teacher doesn't critique a drawing he created in a few minutes rush and everybody else who sees his work is impressed with his ability.
