Enemies no more.note

In X-Men: The Krakoan Age, a great number of the X-Men former enemies have now joined Xavier when he established Krakoa as a nation for mutantkind in his effort to ensure mutant survival by having them all unite together as people.

  • Surprisingly, Apocalypse joins Excalibur with the solicitations even noting how surprising it is. He also sits at the Quiet Council as a figurehead of mutantkind along with Xavier and Magneto.
  • Mister Sinister, Exodus, and Mystique also sit the Quiet Council. Exodus spends his spare time educating mutant children. Sinister is still weaving plots of his own behind the scenes, though.
  • Mondo has joined the New Mutants.
  • Gorgon is one of the Great Captains of Krakoa, specifically bodyguarding the leaders. He even says that Xavier helped him see the light.
  • The Brotherhood of Mutants:
    • Toad did some information gathering for Krakoa very early on.
    • Black Tom Cassidy is now head of security on Krakoa and working closely with X-Force.
    • Pyro has joined the Marauders after being resurrected.
    • Blob is a bartender at the Green Lagoon bar.
    • Mastermind and his daughters, and Amahl Farouk helped the X-men fight against the Cotati.
    • Unus the Untouchable joined Banshee on a mission.
  • Daken was part of X-Factor Investigations, though initially no one really wanted him there. After X-Factor he moves on to join the Marauders.
  • Kwannon has agreed to help Mister Sinister with rehabilitating the Hellions, who are also former villains that have had trouble reforming. These former villains consist of former Marauder Greycrow, Ax-Crazy Heel–Face Revolving Door Wild Child, Orphan Maker, and Nanny.
  • The original Hellions, (Catseye Jetstream, Roulette, Tarot, Beef, and Bevatron) are all Back from the Dead and seem to have become friends with the former members of the Hellions' training Squad from Academy X.
  • Jaime Braddock is more of a Hazy-Feel Turn but he does occasionally help his sister out in Excalibur.
  • Shinobi Shaw has joined The Hellfire Club, which as a whole has become a trading company for Krakoa’s resources.
  • Subverted with Sebastian Shaw who is the same duplicitous, manipulative, greedy, vindictive, asshole that he’s always been, exemplified when he murders Kate Pryde in an effort to seize control of the Hellfire Trading Company.
  • Vulcan is now on good terms with his brothers and father, though he spends most of his time partying on the moon alongside his teammates Petra and Sway. Subverted in X-Men Red (2022), with the revelation that he's still violently unstable and "Petra" and "Sway" are just energy puppets created by his powers.
  • Proteus is a member of The Five, who spend their time resurrecting dead mutants.
  • Emplate and Selene have been tasked by Xavier with measuring the amount of psychic energy that Krakoa would take from its inhabitants. Subverted for Selene as of Immortal X-Men, as she demands a seat on the Quiet Council and unleashes a Kaiju on Krakoa when someone else is appointed to the vacant seat.
  • Masque lives in an off-island Krakoan retirement community and is an advisor for Callisto, who is the White Knight for the Hellfire Trading Company. He the moves to Madripoor where he becomes a plastic surgeon.
  • Krakoa itself used to be an enemy of the X-Men
  • Silver Samurai is now an officiant for exhibition matches at the Quarry Battle Arena. He even makes small talk with Logan.
  • The Mutant Liberation Front has a biome that they live in on Krakoa, though they let the New Mutants know they are not welcome there.
    • However Wildside did willingly join the New Mutants in helping a recently activated young mutant girl.
    • Tempo uses her ability to age Whisky and wine for several decades in a Krakoan distillery.
  • Others who have joined Krakoa include Marrow, Azazel, Astra, Animax, Mentallo, Amahl Farouk, Mesmero, and members of the Acolytes.
  • Amusingly, this trope has actually started causing problems for the writers of X-Men titles. Steve Orlando brought Brimstone Love, a villain from the Marvel 2099 imprint, into the main Marvel Universe precisely because he was having a hard time finding an X-Men villain who wasn't undergoing some kind of redemption arc.
