Wooden Plank Studios does stick to comedy guns for a majority of the time, but that doesn't mean that some of their comics have moments that will tug at the heart strings.

General
- Seeing the villains of Smash (sans Wario and Sephiroth) not be treated as their canon characteristics, but as Mean Character, Nice Actor archetypes is heartwarming to say the least.
- The villains seem to mostly be pranksters and are sometimes seen getting along with the heroic characters. Even those who are arch enemies.
- "Dear Mr. Iwata"
Pokémon - Galar Border Patrol
- The tenth installment of Galar Patrol Border. At first, it seems like a story of the Pangoro guards wanting to drive Zoroark back to Unova, make his life in Galar 'a living hell'. However, it's when they say "You'll cry as hard as that one time you ate a Tamato Berry as a kid." that Zoroark gets thrown a curve-ball, since only his parents know that event. Then it hits him, the Pangoro guards were actually Zoroark's parents, and we get a touching scene in the last panel (pictured in this section).
