The Leapling
  • Nine year old Bill being the patient Big Brother who looks after his younger brothers while their newest sibling is being born.
  • Kind of mixed with a Tear Jerker considering how their relationship ends up, but it's still rather adorable to learn that as toddlers, Fred and George idolized Percy.
  • Charlie goes from being fairly indifferent towards the idea of having a new sibling, to being totally shocked that his newest brother is in fact a sister, to being horrified at what an ugly baby Ronnie is... to utterly falling for her when the behavior of his pet Puffskein Erec hints that she's going to have the same gift with animals as Charlie does.
Charlie blinked. All of a sudden, it was as if he saw his new sister for the first time again. This wasn't going to be a dollies-and-tea-parties girl at all. She was going to be an outdoors type, like him, coming home with mud in her hair and all sorts of animals following her. And she really isn't all that ugly, he realised to his surprise. Her nose is kind of cute.

Weasley Girl

  • It's more comical than anything else, but there is something endearing about Hagrid, when finding out Fluffy may be in danger, storming off and shouting "Hang on, Fluffy! Daddy's comin'!"
    • Especially considering the fact that he going to protect him from Voldemort.
  • Ronnie bonding with Fawkes.
  • When Potter's Gang (and Percy, Fred and George) are stuck at Hogwarts for Christmas, Molly, Arthur, Ginny and Charlie come to celebrate Christmas with them — instead of them going to Romania to visit Charlie, he managed to get time off so he could come visit them and join them at Hogwarts to for the celebrations. Turns out it was Percy who arranged it, planning everything out with Dumbledore and keeping it a secret from his siblings just so he could surprise them on Christmas morning. Even Fred is impressed at how "Percy the Prefect" managed to prank them all.
  • The final few paragraphs of the story ends the fic on a heartwarming note, when Harry looks out the window and sees Fawkes (who took a Killing Curse during the confrontation with Quirrel/Voldemort), fully regrown and on his wings again.
Harry felt himself start to smile as well. He thought he could hear the faint sound of the phoenix's trilling song; a song about hope, and rebirth, and life after death has come and gone.
Maybe — just maybe — as long as there were creatures like Fawkes in the world, or wizards like Dumbledore and Hagrid, and friends like Ronnie, Hermione and Neville, things couldn't get too bad.

Weasley Girl: Secrets of the Past

  • This story may be Darker and Edgier than the previous one, but the number of Friendship Moments between Potter's gang has been ramped up considerably. It's even clearer than before how caring and supportive they are for each other — it's also good to see how everyone just takes it for granted that Ginny is accepted into the gang, and even how Colin evolves from mild annoyance to valued friend.
  • After Harry's rescue from the Dursleys results in the blood protections failing and Privet Drive no longer being the safehaven it once was, the Weasleys don't even hesitate to take him in.
  • Harry buying Crookshanks for Ronnie after seeing how much she likes the odd cat, justifying it as a late Christmas present.
  • The friendship between Dumbledore and Flamel. It's kind of in the background, but a few overheard conversations show that it's a friendship between complete equals, with mutual respect and admiration.
  • Neville writes to Remus Lupin, which results in Harry beginning to exchange letters with him as well. While Remus doesn't actually appear in the story, his letters to Harry are nothing short of heartwarming.
  • Ronnie doesn't want to transform animals into water goblets.
"I just don't like turning helpless animals into objects. It feels too much like killing them."
  • Even though he doesn't have anything nice to say about her, there is something oddly touching about Snape attending Petunia's funeral.
  • The second epilogue is pretty much a whole slew of heartwarming moments.
    • Luna, who was an outsider at best at the start of the school year, is now riding on the train with Potter's Gang like a friend.
    • Luna and Xenophilius's joyful reunion, and his pride at her role in catching Wormtail.
    • Neville's grandmother pats him on the back and tells him she's proud of him.
    • The meeting between Hermione's mother, and Neville's Luna's and Colin's families. Not only is it nice to see adult wizards interact with a Muggle in a positive way for once, completely without the normal Condescending Compassion or even the disdain that's typical of wizards (especially after anti-Muggle-sentiments have grown stronger in the wizarding world due to story events), but it also seems to reassure Hermione's mother at least slightly after her growing ambivalence towards Hogwarts and the wizarding world.
