Spooky Small Talk

  • Zach Kornfeld of The Try Guys (who also left Buzzfeed) telling Ryan that he and the other guys are proud of him for the new channel.
  • At the end of the Shane episode, there’s a soft best friends moment where the guys say they love each other.
  • Ryan has his girlfriend Mari on the show, and at the end he tells her how proud he is of her and they kiss. Extra points for how he asks if it’s alright to kiss her beforehand.

Watcher Weekly

  • On the first Patreon Watcher Weekly plus they were asked what they learned about each other from the experience of making the company and it’s a whole roundtable of compliments, like Steven says he learned about Ryan’s amazing work ethic and how big Shane’s imagination is, Shane calls Steven the coolest person he knows and “already knew” Ryan was wonderful, while Ryan learned that Steven is willing to do things he doesn’t want to do for the sake of the company and that Shane is capable of being genuinely scared and stressed out, which he found bizarrely reassuring.
  • In WW 16, when asked what their favorite horror franchise is, Steven replies with Unsolved, and Ryan/Shane are both delighted.
  • How much Steven and Ryan encourage Shane’s dreams/running bit of being a small mouse.

Weird Wonderful World

  • Like his little awkward but sincere “body positivity” bit in Unsolved’s Thelma Todd episode, Shane’s bi ally support of “just love everybody” when they go to the Shakespeare theatre. The Watcher Instagram/Twitter later used that image for wishing their LGBT Fanbase Not A Cult a happy Pride month.
    • Shane tearing up as he tells the Shakespeare company how much he appreciates them, immediately looking to Ryan for help when he flounders a little, and Ryan being ribby but also proud of him for managing to get emotions out.
  • For Breakfast Club, Shane tells Dawna (a kind older lady who wrote for Scooby Doo) that he’s made two main friends (Ryan and Sara, and this was shot in early March before Steven/Shane got close) since moving from Chicago and she immediately tells him he can be friends with her.

Homemade

  • In the first Homemade, Steven’s friend Ryan (not Bergara Ryan, another friend) has a story of his favorite food being dumplings, and his new stepmom making a ton of them for him.
  • The tamales episode has all of their friend Tony’s family in the house helping out (and those who couldn’t are facetiming to watch) and Steven says at the end that helped let his guard down and be himself. For Ryan’s part, his sum-up is that you can’t put a price on love, but you can feel and taste it.

Here's What You Do

  • In ep 2, Shane talking about how working sixty hours a week and being exhausted for six months before he moved to LA, was worth it because he knows Ryan and Steven.
    • No matter how much he looks Done with their tangents, Steven says that he loves working with Ryan and Shane every day.
  • In the third episode, one of the reasons Shane has for his sounding self confident in SPN-Unsolved (besides being bored and not believing) is that it feels easier with close friends, Ryan and the crew they have.

Dish Granted

  • The very premise of the show, which flat out requires Steven to be as thoughtful as possible, is trying to create a dish that his guest will absolutely love based on their request and what he personally knows about them.
    • On that note, the first two guests are Shane and Ryan, both of whom Steven has anecdotes about how great they've been as friends to him.
  • Midway through the first episode, Steven remembers that pie is Shane's favorite dessert and shifts gears from merely an, admittedly thoughtfully constructed, Truffle Mac and Cheese to a Truffle Mac and Cheese pie. When he sees and tastes it, Shane is absolutely delighted.
  • The sheer level of thought that went into Ryan's tacos in the second episode, as not only are they a fancier take on the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Ryan's favorite dish from Taco Bell, the sleeve for the taco is cut from a VHS case of Jaws, one of Ryan's favorite movies.
    • Steven tells a story early in the episode that paints his desire to make Ryan something great very clearly. Ryan was one of the first people who reached out to Steven when he started working at Buzzfeed and asked him to hang out with him, which lead to Steven joining Ryan for basketball and Korean barbecue and Ryan in turn checking on him during a breakup. It's made very clear though his interactions with Ryan and his similar stories about Shane from the previous episode that the three of them are True Companions through and through and the first episodes being them is a way of Steven to thank them for being his friends.
    • This interaction when Steven reveals that Ryan's meal is two-course says it all
Ryan: (slightly jokingly) I don't know if I deserve this, to be quite honest!
      Steven: (genuinely) You do.
  • The episode where Steven cooks for his parents is pure joy and you can absolutely see where his kind and thoughtful nature comes from.

Making Watcher

  • During the "How We Built Our Dream Team" episode, it is revealed that Ryan and Shane managed to hire Katie LeBlanc, who they worked alongside with during their time on Unsolved and their reaction alongside with that of Steven and Anthony (their sole employee at the time) is one of overwhelming joy and enthusiasm. The reaction was recorded and Katie is crying Tears of Joy as their reaction brought her happiness.
